I bought this classic 1970 Fiat 500N in Naples Italy in 2005, nd shipped it back to California in 2006. I've fully restored the car since it arrived here. Everything was taken apart and refinished to as-new condition.
It has a brand new Polish crate 650cc engine (which replaced the original 500cc engine and increased horsepower by 10) and synchronized 4 speed manual transmission. Acceleration and shifting are smooth, ithout any double clutching or grinding of gears.
Paint is two stage clear coat in original color. This little Fiat is absolutely rust free, ith no patched body panels on the car. Floors and doors are all perfect. Dynamat sound deadener applied to floors, oors, nd rear engine firewall to reduce cabin noise from the air cooled two cylinder power plant. Undercarriage retains its original undercoating, nd is beautifully detailed as you can see in the pictures. Suspension items that were not replaced are coated in an epoxy chassis paint. All new mechanical systems (clutch, rakes, uspension, ushings, teering linkage). Electrical system has been converted from generator to an alternator, ith solid state voltage regulator. I've gutted and retained the original electromagnetic voltage regulator in its factory location for an original look. All light bulbs and signals are new and function correctly. There is both the factory (beep, eep) horn, nd a double air horn to stay safe from large vehicles on the road. Radio is a European AM/FM/CD with two custom rear speakers. Upholstery is excellent and so is trim. Seat framing was wrapped with new elastic, ushions were upgraded, racks were lubricated, nd upholstery is as new. Original black rubber floor coverings with embossed carpet floor mats complete the nostalgic interior. Black vinyl top is new and fits well without leaking. Glass is all original. Chrome trim is excellent in all areas, ith new bumpers, ent window surrounds, icense lamp frame and badging. Front license plate is Neapolitan, nd original to the car. There is not one bolt on this car that hasn't been carefully restored to new, r in most cases, etter than new condition. The car runs well too. I've recently returned from a 150 mile trip to the California central coast with no issues and 39 MPG. Hopefully the pictures sufficiently show the level of detail I've put into the restoration. More pictures are available upon request, ut a short visit to see the car in person will not disappoint. This is a wonderful micro car that can only go up in value, nd an excellent example in pristine condition. Very few out there in condition as good as this one. I'm hoping this car will bring a smile to your face each time you go for a drive!Call 805-207-9404 for more info.Thank you for bidding!
