1971 Ford Maverick - Base
6 Cylinder - 170ci. 3-spd on the wheel
This was a base level car when it was sold and it still is. The car was owned by the original owner for over 27 years before he got to old to drive the car anymore and his son took the car from him. The car sat in the son's yard for 10 years then one day my friend's dad who was walking the yard with him saw the Maverick and bought it right there. My friends dad owned the car for a little more than 5 years. He did some body work repairs and repainted the car to its original color. He rechromed the front and back bumpers to show quality. They look great. New radiator, attery, une-up, ires, rakes and some exhaust work. He was running out of space at his place with his projects and I have loved the car for a few years and he sold it to me because he knew i would take care of it. I replaced the clutch, ave it a tune-up (again) and replaced all the shocks on 4 tires.
Thepoverty (hub) caps are original as is the paint on the rims on the tires. The front seat was recovered and i have extra cloth in case someone wants to do the back, hich is still decent.
The first picture is not a postcard. I took the car down to Wildwood and we stayed at the Caribbean. I changed the picture format to look old school. I love this picture. I found the perfect time when no other cars were there. But if you look closely on the lef, ou will see the front of a newer honda civic that sneaked in.
