Up for sale we have a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. This car has not been restored that we can tell. It has been well taken care of over the year with the factory interior and we believe some of the factory paint. The wheel package has been upgraded but we also have factory wheel and wire hubcaps if you would like to purchase it that way. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, nterior, nd driveline of the Ford, ut first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, perated, nd own our entire inventory, o consignments, nd only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, hat's how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Galaxie. Down the side it has good lines and straight panel. Everything is covered in the Skylight Blue Paint that shows very well. The paint is accented by the White convertible top and the White boot cover for when the top is down. All the trim down the sides and grill shows very well. As for the glass it's in good shape along with its' trim. The back window in the top is glass and is in very good condition. This Galaxie has the factory twin side mirror. The only thing that has been changed from the original look is the 18" and 20" American Racing Wheels with new tires.
Next, e will take a look at the interior of the Convertible. On the inside you will really appreciate how well taken care of this car is. The best we can tell it has all the factory covers and panels. There is only a few spots where you can see the age. When you look at the dash the only thing that's been added is a set of aftermarket gauges. The rest of the dash is all stock with good trim. The instrument panel looks great with good clean lenses.
Finally, e will look at the driveline of the Ford. Under the hood it looks as it would have back in '64. It has the correct 390 that retains the stock valve covers and breather. The trans is an FMX Automatic that's mated to a 9" Rear End. It has dual exhaust with chrome tips. This Ford has Power Steering and 4 Wheel drum brakes. When you look under the Galaxie you will love the floors. They are super solid with no visible signs of any rust or rot.
