Description

1964 Ford Galaxie 500 KustomOver $65,000 in REAL cash money invested in the build, tc.Built with the inspiration of George Barris, ene Winfield, nd Larry Watson. A TRUE 1960's -style Kustom build.
Featured on the COVER of the March 2007 issue of Rod & Custom Magazine, ith a 4 page color spread feature article inside. One copy of the magazine is included in the sale. Lots of the details of the build can be found in that article.Car has been featured in many magazines, ebsites, alendars, tc., cross the globe.Trophy winner many times in it's history.Car was formally invited to the Detroit Autorama and the Gambino Sit Down.I purchased this car for shows only, ith my plan being to use it in our trade show booth. We used it for a few years. In the last 5 years, here has been less than 70 miles put on the car, owever it is started and run on a regular basis. It is stored inside.
The build was started about 2005 with a rust free car. There is no rust and there never was any rust. The bottom of the car is rust free, s are the panels throughout the carAll the panels are hand formed, ncluded trunk, oors, ood, uarter panels, tc. There is over 100 man hours per side on just the spears. The custom work is incredible. The dash is painted and pinstriped by Dr. RuThe headlights are 1952-1954 FordThe grill is custom made stainless steel rodThe front lip of the hood is hand made and extended 4 inchesThe side spears are extended into the quarter panelsThe rear tail lights are 1952 Ford housings with 2004 ThunderBird lensesThe interior is 1969 Ford Thunderbird. Note the wrap-a-round rear seatThe car has $20,000 in real money invested in just the paint and body. There is over $67,000 in REAL CASH MONEY in this build. The car is appraised at about $80,000.The roof has ten coats of pearl metal flake with clear coat. House of Kolor. The body is also painted a blend of House of Kolor Lime Time Green (a custom blend). About $20,000 was spent on paint for this build. The car has all new front suspension. Over $1200 spent on parts aloneThe rear suspension is on 2" lowering blocks with air shocks. Fully adjustable for whatever look you'd like. The lake pipes are not functional. They are not hooked up. The dual exhaust exits through the rear and sounds excellent. It has headers. Sounds Like a hot rod390 V8 motor with a brand new Edelbrock carp, EI distributor and wires, adiator, une up, askets, tc. Needs nothing but a new driver. The car has the following:Power steeringPower disc brakesAutomatic transmission with coolerPower locks (poppers for the doors and the trunk on a key fob)Air Conditioning the blows cold with new parts that were quite expensiveAll the lights work and the horn works. All the chrome is excellentAll the windows are excellentThe paint is excellentReal Astro Supreme wheels and nice white wall tires.Stereo and speakers are brand newThe car runs and drives excellentI would have no reservations about driving this car from Florida to California if you'd wish. It's ready-to-go NOW.This car is the "Belle of the Ball" at every car show or cruise in that you attend with it. It grabs ALL the attention. If you DONT like attention, ONT buy this car.
Things of note:1 - Carpet has a couple spots that could use some clean up. Not bad.2 - There is a small area about 1/2 the size of your pinky nail that had some paint touch up done on the back of the rear quarter panel bottom edge that can be seen IF you search for it. It could be done better3) The drivers side rear view mirror could use new mirror glass. It's just not perfect like the other side.(NOTE: I now have a brand new complete mirror assy)4) One typical Ford leak....but just ONE. I might have it fixed before the car sells, r maybe not. But again, o big deal.5) The new stereo was installed crooked, nd the installer didn't have a choice because of the hole the builder cut into the dash. It needs to look better in it's spot in my opinion.6) The trunk leather was started and never finished. It should be finished at some point.
I am only selling to fund a business expansion. I'm really looking for a CASH sale.I will consider a trade, ut it has to have a market value of $30,000.00 or higher. We never ever thought we would sell this car. But an opportunity has presented itself that I need to take advantage of . So, he car goes. And please, o low-ball offers. I know what I have. I know what it's worth. Please be serious and be fair. The price is way way way lower than it's worth.
My husband has experience domestic shipping and international exporting of vehicles, nd can help with that at buyers expense. We are close to the ports of Miami, ort Lauderdale, acksonville, nd Brunswick, A.
