1965 Thunderbird Convertible
This Thunderbird came out of an estate and this is the first time it has been for sale to the public. This came from his widow and was sold with a few other highly restored cars he kept in his hanger with his jet. My guess, aving done collector cars for 43 years, hat there was probably at least $60,000 and maybemuch morespent restoring this car.I don't believe it was ever in shows and done by a highly professional shop. She didn't know of any receipts mainly because she had no interest in his cars. She included anice framed picture.
The cosmetics are something to behold. It's probably the best 65 Thunderbird in existence. The quality of the paint is remarkable. The glass, ubber, hrome and lights are new. The stainless is polished and flawless.
The interior is all new with beautiful attention to detail. The flashing door openblinking light, he interior lights, ven the dome lightin the convertible top works. Things like the power wind wings, indows, op, ower seat, orn, adio all work as they did in 1965.
The motor starts and runs flawlessly. Drives like a dream at 65 MPH. The transmission, rakes, nd suspension probably were done to the same level as the rest of the car. It was built for shows but was also built to be driven with reliability.
The owner passed away several years ago and the car had not been used. It has several very minor easy to correct issues from sitting. (I wouldn't do them) I can't imagine not winning shows now that it's out of hibernation.
