Description

1965 Shelby GT350 SFM5S056 Formerly owned by Hank Fournier racer, echanic, abricator of race cars and restorer of vintage vehicles. Hank was directly connected to Shelby Automotive, ark Donahue and Tasca Ford Racing fame. This car was sold brand new by Dean Gregson the Shelby go to man and Trans-Am racer at Tasca Ford. Hank was the second owner of this Shelby and raced regionally in the North East for several decades himself. I have unbelievable pictorial history of this life of this of this car that Hank kept as a scrap book from the day before he purchased this Shelby up to the day he sold it to us. Having been damaged several times in competition Hank finely restored his car to his liking. You can see by the pictures it’s all white, nside, utside and all around. Hank told me back in the day he would paint race cars that way so if in competition it developed a fluid leak it was easy to detect. He also added the 1966 quarter windows and the R-model competition front lower valance. Take a good look at the pictures I have here, lthough not restored exactly as it was built by Shelby Automotive, or not a lot of money you could bring it back to that configuration. Picture this… When you start engine in this Shelby and hear the K-code solid lifter 289 fire to life, hundering through the side discharge exhaust, ou Release the clutch, ere the chirping of the rear tires and away you go. After that you think the experience is complete until you turn into your first corner and you hear that unforgettable sound Chirp-Clack, hirp-Clack, hirp-Clack as the Detroit-Locker differential ratchets its way through the corner. All the technology in the world built into modern High-Performance cars just can’t equal the feel of an Old School Shelby made for the track and to be driven in anger and that is was just barely street legal.

This is a wonderful Shelby GT350 with lots of local New England history with a true legend who owned it for over 40 years.
