Description

Super rare barn found 1962 Ford Galaxie 500 G code car. Came from factory with the 406 Tri power 4 speed heavy duty drum brakes 9 inch rear end. This car does not have the original engine!!! The engine was removed and in its place is a 1967 Ford 390 FE engine. Everything else is there including the original exhaust manifolds and even the original generator they just swapped engine for engine and left all the accessories hooked up in there original place. Would be easy to swap back to the original 406 engine for a great restoration project. It has all original interior in decent shape seats have some brittle areas but with more conditioner they will come to life again. The car is solid except for very small area in trunk pan shown in pictures. The floors rockers quarters and doors are very nice. The body has a few dents here and there but overall pretty nice considering its age. It looks like it might have raced in its early life with no inner fenders present. The car is also missing the hood hinges and some misc trim pieces. This could be an awesome restoration back to stock or a great clone for the race track. The transmission feels tight and goes into every gear. Engine is as shown in pictures missing valve covers and intake manifold. The vin number and body tag is 2J63G178611 body 65A Color J trim 35 date 31G axle 5 trans 5. Also included picture of vin in pictures. We do have the pink slip for this car and will be selling as is with a low reserve. Happy bidding
