1956 Ford Thunderbird - Hard Top Convertible. 1 of 15,631

This IS a Barn Find - stored in since 1968. 2nd owner. In 2011 this car was brought out of storage, nd driven in the Woodward Dream Cruise, hen put away until last week. I started the car and the carb leaked, oI shut it down.

I am leaving this car pretty much asis it as I do not want o molest it.I did wash it and clean the interior,. Now I am offering it up for sale, s is.

Its all original, xcept the paint. Sometime in the sixties it was painted. There is really no rust on the car or rust thru areas. Solid floor pans, runk, rame and body. I do not see any signs of repairs or body filler. You can run you hands around all the fenders and there is zero filler or patches. Under doors, oor jambs and rockers all solid. Doors close nice and straight. Hood and truck have great fit, oth open close perfectly. Rear tire swings out to open trunk or addgas. The paint is a "10 footer", nd has some blems chips and scratches. All the body panels are straight with no signs of damage or repairs. I have more pics of the inner wheel wheels and trunk wells. All is in very good shape.

The Interior is beautiful. still has the dealer plastic on the working power seats. No rip, ears or blems. Door panels, ick panels, ead liners, arpet, ash are in excellent shape. Power windows work perfect, nd all glass is original. Wing vents for when the top is off are perfect. Town & Country radio hums but I could not get a station to tune in. I do not think the clock works. I have more pics.

Odometer reads 22,624, can't be sure if its 122k or 22k. I asked the grandson if he could verify mileage, ut could not. All the numbers are straight and show no signs of tampering. Looking at the body & interior its hard to say it's 122k. Ask questions or ask for any more pics.

312 Y block, ower steering and power brakes, bbl Tea Pot carb (leaks at accelerator pump, $22 rebuild kit). Automatic transmission (Fordomatic). All systems seem to be holding fluids and I see no leaks. I was told in 2011 all the fluids were changed. The coolant is green, he oil looks good and the trans fluid is bright red. Drum brakes. I have not driven the car so I can't tell how it handles.

The electrical system seems ok. Ignition, orn, ome lights, linkers, rake lights all work.One head lamp is out and high beams did not come on.

In the trunk is the complete jack and original tonneau cover. The tonneau cover was in a bag andis brand new, ooks like it was never used. Trunk dome light works. The carpet is in good shape. Rear spare tire is there outside the trunk, ame tire as all the rest. I took the carpet out for the photo to show solid metal, o rust. I have more pics.

Hard top is in good shape, ortal windows, ll the latches in tact. No rip or tears on headliner. There never was a soft top. Rear tonneau cover for behind the seat is in good shape, riginal. I have pics.

Clean clear Michigan title in hand. It was updated in 2011 in order to get plates for the Woodward Dream Cruise.
