Description

Up for auction is a true barn find 1954 ford f250. Just brought this pickup in and haven't tried starting it although engine turns by hand and seems to have good compression. This f250 is completely original down to the working headlights and original ford plug wires . trans is a 4 spd shifts good and seems to have a good clutch. Needs brakes . Body is very solid with only rust being in bedsides . Lower rear fenders also have some rust but easily repaired. Only other rust that is mentionable is in front fender above headlight again easy fix. Floor boards are really solid with a lot of original paint still showing. Rocker are also very solid. Front and rear glass are good but needs door glass r/l. Also pickup comes with original rare 292 (V8) which I'm pretty sure will run. This truck is a great candidate for restoration or tune it up and drive it as is . Thanks and happy bidding. Call with questions. 606-782-5039. On Apr-11-15 at 15:01:47 PDT. seller added the following information:Just installed new plug wires. park plugs . djusted the points and put some fresh gas in the old truck . Gave it a pull and it started right up with no smoke whatsoever . Old 292 sounds like a sewing machine running. By far better than I could have imagined. After sitting in a barn since 1991 this old ford has been reborn. In my original ad I said mileage was 104000 but after looking at odometer I realized it was only showing 70000 miles not sure if that's correct . Speedometer not working . This truck shifts and changes gears like it should. Have video of this truck running . I can text to anyone interested 606-782-5039 thanks jrOn Apr-13-15 at 16:44:16 PDT. seller added the following information:Also a little rust on top of inner fenders on both side but not bad. And a very small area at very bottom of cowl. Rest of cowls look really nice. Has a sheet of metel in bed but there is a little wood left underneath. All the cross members in bed are present and seem really good . Truck frame itself is really solid . FORD TOUGH. Although this truck needs some work it is a really solid base for restoration and a rare find with all it's originality. I am relisting this truck due to buyer answering phone saying(no speak English) so if you don't have funds to pay don't bid please. It is frustrating to buyers and sellers. Thanks and bid to win.
