I am very surprised that after two days their is not at least an opening bid, NADA high book puts this car at over $70,000.00 in value, my reserve currently isless then$20,000.00 under that.....................................................................................................................................................
This is a 15 year restoration of a solid original mileage barn fresh 1935 Ford convertible sedan.. This was the first year of this body style, it was just like the Phaeton as it is a 4 door convertible but has glass roll up windows instead of side curtains...... This car sat in barn storage for over 40 years up Maine and was bought by a friend of mine over 20 years ago and he stored it away. She is Washington blue, Straw wheels and pin stripes, has a LB flat head motor, original 3 speed transmission, beautiful original frame and suspension. About 15 years ago he started the restoration process by buying every thing new he needed....The car was totally dismantled, every steel part, nut, bolt and screwwas sand blasted to clean original metal. Body needed almost nothing for work, original fenders are nice (no welds on the beads, all glass replaced, stainless frames cleaned, new top, and interior, new tires, tubes, bumpers and much much more.... This is a very nicely donevehicle, first year of the convertible sedan and the second highest value of any of the 35's...I am currently waiting for the stainless trim around the drivers side windows and rear view mirror and all will be installed be for the auction ends...Any more questions call me at 603-942-6118..... I can't stress enough at what a great car this was be for restoration withoriginal miles........
