Description

1985 Mustang GT/HO,

This car has been barely used for the last 16 years. 70,575 miles Sunroof, doesn't leak. A couple extra 10 hole wheels, manuals, wiring manuals.
Fresh upper end before storage. New roller cam valve train to match all done at Roush. Fresh Clutch and pressure plate, fresh bearings and engine resealed. Fresh brakes when put in storage. Stainless shorty headers, New dual stainless exhaust system prior to storage. Runs strong and is completely street drivable. Had saved it to give to one of the grandkids but they would rather have something else so selling it. Going to need tires.
Vehicle was Ziebarted when new but does have a couple of spots on the drivers door. Headliner is starting to fall, don't they all, but is easily glued back in place.

This vehicle drives great no pulling hands free driving and no pull while braking. Cam was set for great low end and pulls strong to 5500. The pictures tell it all. Very clean and well preserved interior. Windows, locks, cruise, rear defroster all work. A/C needs charge, after all it is 30 years old. Lights, turn signals, radio all work too.

Because the car was Ziebartedthe underside, wheel well lips, truck floor and all the usual Mustang spots are super solid.

I have received lots of questions on the car so I will try to answer some of them here.

I bought the car in 1995 and the original owner had driven the car for about 65,000 miles and something went bad in the valve train on the heads. He parked it and let it set for at least five years based on the license plate that was on it when I bought it. When I purchased the car we pulled the engine and went through it. I had the heads done at Roush where a friend of mine worked, we added a bit bigger cam, double row timing chain, completely redid the heads with springs to match cam and installed new bearings in the short block. The engine was reassembled with aHV Melling oil pump, better oil pan, resealed and put back in. New clutch and pressure plate was installed while engine was out. Since then the car has been driven sporadically. Interior is really nice, no burn marks that I have found, original owner did smoke evidently because the ashtray has been used. Everything works and it drives and brakesstraight and true. Windshield had a few stone chips so it will have a fresh windshield as well.
