Finding this model car in this original condion is EXTREMELY rare. Most Gran Torino Fastbacks you find have been beat up, restored, modified or are rusting. It will cost you way more to restore a Gran Torino Fastback than to buy this one.
This1973 Gran Torino Fastback has less than 27,000 original miles. Car is all original except Dual exhaust, distributor (have original), wheels, shocks, tires, battery, trans cooler. Brakes are fine. I had them cleaned and adjusted. Had the carburetor rebuilt, too. Rare to find this model in this condition with such low mileage. Car was used in the movie INVINCIBLE starring Mark Walberg. No rust here. Floors solid.
Third owner. One of the other two put some undercoating I tried to remove. Car is always garage kepton jacks during the winter. Interior needs nothing. Even the steering column has no scratches from car keys. All the courtesy work: Fasten Seat Belt warning, light in trunk, 2 lights under dashboard, light in engine compartment. Chrome is very good for car's age. The paint is original, but has a few so-so touch ups. I took the to two body shops and they said the rest of the paint is so great and original and told me not to touch the paint. Engine runs great. It's a 351 Windsor C4. The rear was modified by the original owner to 3:50 I was told, the only mechanical modification made, besides exhaust and trans cooler addition. It accelerates VERY fast. A/C had been converted to 134A but needs a recharge.
The car is an absolute hit at local car shows, probably because it's unique like a Kaiser or Packard, yet from one of the big three auto manufacturers. It wins trophies
and people just love to look at it. I am loosing the garage space and have to find this beautiful car a new home.
