Please read the condition description and ask questions - I want the prospective new owner to know exactly what they are purchasing.
I would consider this a rolling chassis, with a running motor and a potentially serviceable transmission.
Mileage is unknown, says 20,000 but that is obviously incorrect and I don't know if the odometer functions.
Running not driving 1967 Ford F250, standard cab, automatic transmission, two wheel drive truck. Truck has sat since I first saw it in 2011. I purchased it andspent most of a weekend returning it to running and moveable (under it's own power) condition. That required sorting out wiring as the original ignition was missing, cleaning out carburetor, new plugs, wires, distributor, coil, solenoid. Bypassed the original rear tank with an auxiliary plastic tank with fresh fuel and voila she fired right over with very little cranking. The gas tank behind the bench seat is missing. After about 5 minutes of sputtering she held idle and throttles up. As I mentioned in the condition description, the automatic transmission complete function is presently unknown, it does move the vehicle in forward and reverse but stopping it is another story as it feels like only one of the front drums is engaging at all and therefore I am unwilling to go for a higher speed "joy" ride.
The truck is very straight and all the body panels are free of dents and not rusted through, the hood opens/closes well and is very solid. Drivers side door opens closes well and is in nice shape, not rusted through. Presently the passenger side door does not open, as I mentioned the original keys as well as the original ignition switch is missing. I intend to pull the door panel and update the status before the end of the auction, presently its locked. Glass in both doors rolls up and down and is in good shape as are the wing vent glass pieces/frames.
The floor of the bed is rusted through, however, you can only see that from beneath the truck, Sometime in the past the previous owner installed metal full bed length galvanized panels over the floor bed and has a thick rubber mat over that. It is actually quite solid and secure and extremely functional.
The cab feels solid on its mounts but those have some rust and back "wall" of the cab has some rust through where it meets the floor. The passenger side cab corner is solid, the drivers side has some holes visible from the outside (pictured).
As mentioned the truck hasa non original keyed ignition switch installed which starts, runs and shuts off the engine. There are loose wires beneath the dash and I have not sorted those out. Having said that the overall electrical system is unknown, although all the headlamps, tail lamps are in place. It will take some time chasing the wiring, but I am guessing anyone with some patience and a multimeter will be well on their way.
I have all the original taillight lenses and front yellow marker lenses and they will be included in the sale. Also included in the sale are original 1967 correct F100 badges/reflectors (pictured). Previous owner bought the right year ('67 was a one off) but the wrong model, still are worth something/original and look cool.
Tires hold air but are very weather checked, no spare.
Please ask questions, and I will do my best to answer them as accurately as possible.
This is a no reserve auction, a deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close via paypal. The balance of payment can be made via paypal prior to vehicle pickup/shipping or cash/cashiers check/money order at time of pickup. I am willing to hold the truck for up to ten days, if you intend to be the winning bidder and need more time than that please contact me prior to auction close to discuss.
Thank you for looking.
