Celebrity Cars is pleased to offer this 1949 Ford woody which is one of the most sought after models as it has a car body on the frame rather than a wood box, it's the last yr. for wood on the tailgate, after which they went to painting on a faux wood look.
-The wood on this car was done by Doug Carr of Wood n Carr in Signal Hill, Ca. some original wood was able to be refinished & new wood (birch or ash) used elsewhere
- It has a Chevy V-8 305 Ciw/ a 700R4 (suburban) transmission
-it also has a Edelbrock # 1406 Performer Series 600CFM Carburetor w/ Electric Choke, making it much more reliable.
-vintage air that blows ice cold
-the rear end is Lincoln Versaille which enables the car to have disc brakes all around & still get the ford bolt pattern for the wheels.
-The instruments all work correctly
-The interior has tan glove leather buckets w/ armrests in the front with an original bench seat behind them, the new correct carpet is covered by an full floor mat
-The dash, door panels & side panels were all done & finished correctly original w/ correct wood (from Carr) or painted w/ the correct original faux wood finish like it was originally done.
-The headliner was purchased in Hawaii at their big material mart and has a beautiful floral plumaria pattern
-it has less than 250 miles since the engine was done.
