Up for auction is a 1964 1/2 Mustang Convertible that was restored a few years ago. Vehicle shows 103,684 miles which is believed to be original. Vehicle is equipped with a 289, 4 barrel carburetor, newer dual exhaust with turbo mufflers and rally wheels. Vehicle has manual steering, manual brakes and a manual top and a am/fm cassette. Dash is not cut and vehicle is unmolested. Manual top works well but it was extremely cold and tight so I didn't to take a chance cracking the rear plastic window, the black top boot cover is in the trunk. Vehicle originally came with a 260 but it was upgraded to a 289.
When I purchased vehicle I was told the motor was rebuilt with a mild cam as well as a rebuilt transmission when the vehicle was restored. Vehicle runs strong and drives extremely well with NO ISSUES. It is a true dream to drive. There are no leaks and vehicle can be driven any distance with complete confidence!
When vehicle was restored some floor pans were replaced as well as some sheet metal as needed. The body panels are straight and fit well. The paint is in excellent condition and it is not the original color. The chrome and moldings are in excellent condition. The interior is new as well as the convertible top. The gauges and light all operate properly.
Vehicle is not a museum piece but is a very nice restored driver. If you are looking for a great summer driver and beautiful Mustang this may be the one for you.
