Description

1965 Ford Mustang Restomod. 5. 0L EFI 5-speed manual transmission. POWER STEERING. POWER DISC BRAKES & AIR CONDITIONING for those hot summer days! The VIN on this car is 5F077T771550. The donor car was a 1995 Mustang GT 5. 0 VIN 1FALP42T85F106662. It has the battery relocation kit (batter in the trunk). The emergency brake was relocated from the dash to the center hump to have a direct pull. Works well and does not interfere with the shifter. Has tilt steering with a Grant steering wheel. AC and heat work well. I bought it with the conversion already installed. I had to have the engine rebuilt soon after getting it. The engine has a 3-year. 36. 00-mile warranty on it from Carter's Engine in Amarillo. I will give you all of the paperwork from the original conversion and the rebuild. Any warranty claims will be between the new buyer and the shop. The work was done in November of 2013 and currently has 715 on it. I will continue to drive it around town. so consider the mileage approximate. There is no warranty between you and I whatsoever and you are buying this vehicle as-is. where is. As with most classic cars. this car has WAY more in it than the buy-it-now price. The vehicle is also for sale locally. so I reserve the right to end the auction if the vehicle sells outside of eBay. Recent work includes:Remanufactured long blockNew plugsNew thermostatNew water pumpNew oil pumpNew cam & liftersNew rocker studsnew push rodsNew harmonic balancerNew clutchFlushed radiatorNew radiator hoseNew heater hoseNew serpentine beltThe car is a lot of fun to drive and turns a lot of heads. The 5. 0L is a lot of engine for that little car and the 5-speed makes it a blast to drive. The transmission shifts smoothly. The clutch pedal has a really tight spring. It has the Mustang Cobra wheels on it off on the donor 1995. Everything on the car is either for a 1965 Mustang or a 1995 Mustang. so finding parts is easy (no guess work like with some restomods!). The interior is also customized and is in decent shape. The front seats are from the 1995 donor car and the back seat is the original style. The exterior could use a new paint job. but it's not too bad and looks okay. Aside from the couple of minor dimples on the passenger side fender (from the battery bouncing around inside once). the body is in great shape. I've never found any rust on the vehicle. The owner before me did some stuff that I'm not in love with (like the headliner lamp. intermittent wipers. and emergency brake relocation). but to each his own. Maybe you'll love it. The car is dang near 50 years old. The fuel injected engine makes it pretty reliable (especially since it's just rebuilt and has a warranty). but it's not a brand new car. It's pretty mechanically sound. but it could use a little work here and there. If I was going to keep it. I'd put some firmer suspension in it and tighten up the steering. Having had an all-original '65 before. I can tell you that the power steering and power brakes make it really nice (and much safer) to drive. If you've dreamt of a restomod. this is the car for you. You could put all of your finishing touches on it. I'm selling this car because I'm getting back the 6-cylinder 1965 Mustang that I bought when I turned 16. I don't need 2 classic Mustangs and I'd prefer to keep the one that has more sentimental value. Bidders are responsible to perform their own vehicle inspection prior to purchase. $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the close of the auction. I will not ship or deliver the vehicle. On Apr-24-15 at 07:55:24 PDT. seller added the following information:1965 Ford Mustang Restomod. 5. 0L EFI 5-speed manual transmission. POWER STEERING. Several people have asked what the reserve is. but I don't believe it's in the seller's best interest to disclose the reserve in an auction-style format. Please feel free to ask any other questions about the car. but I won't answer additional questions about the reserve. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
