I say RARE because most of these Wagons were bought by big families or business's and they were driven and used to the point where there was nothing left so most of them were crushed back in the day. We just purchased this vehicle from the previous older Arizona owner and as you can clearly tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! Careful to not let this '56 Ford jewel get away. you will be hard-pressed to find another one like it !! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! This '56 Ford Fairlane Country Sedan Wagon still retains it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - correcty mounted driver's door pillar mounted Ford data plate which is shown in a picture below. I drove this BEAUTY for the last several days as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT. This is one nice driving Fairlane Country Sedan Wagon that is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Arizona - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western vehicle and boy does it show !! At the heart of this BEAUTIFUL - 1956 Fairlane Country Sedan Wagon is what appears to be the ORIGINAL - STRONG - Optional Code "M" - 292 CID - "Thunderbird" - Y-Block Overhead Valve V8 Motor that is running very well indeed. The motor also retains it's ORIGINAL intake manifold. ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds. ORIGINAL valve covers. ORIGINAL air cleaner housing and it's ORIGINAL "Tea Pot" carburetor !! Sounds GREAT too with the true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by the SMOOTH - "Fordomatic" - automatic transmission which also functions very well. The Coral Red and Colonial White vinyl bench seat Country Sedan Wagon interior is in NICE condition with a NICE Coral Red and Colonial White Vinyl front bench seat. VERY NICE Black carpeting.
