Description

1966 Thunderbird Convertible A very well cared for 49 year old T-Bird that was kept in a garage during its life. There is no rust anywhere in the car. The overall condition is remarkable for its age. The interior is all original. The seats and door panels are exceptional. The carpets have never been replaced and are not worn anywhere. The dash is nice and the chrome trim throughout the interior has survived beautifully. The power seat. power windows. horn. radio. heater. dash lights. and sequential turn signals all work well. The air conditioner was dealer installed in 1966. The owner never used it. It is inoperable now. The car had been repainted 3 decades ago. It has held up well with few flaws. It has never been damaged. The doors shut as they did from the factory. All the body panels and body lines fit right. The glass is original and very good. The chrome is remarkable for the age. The stainless steel still holds a high polish. Mechanically it has been very well maintained. An example: The heater core was replaced. It took his long time mechanic 2 days and he swore he would never do one again. At 64. 000 the brakes were done and the carburetor rebuilt. At 62. 000 miles the transmission was rebuilt. At 63. 00 miles the doctor spent $2. 00 rebuilding front end. removing motor and resealing the motor. hoses. timing chain. rear main. tune up. radiator. machined the heads and intake manifold and much more. This is surprisingly quiet and smooth for a convertible at 70 mph. The original top is still nice and goes up and down with thousands of moving parts. (Just kidding. almost). Has new tires. A really nice well preserved car with 67. 00 actual miles. PLEASE NO EMAILSPHONE CALLS ONLY PLEASE. CALL SID 503-312-0822Ask questions before you bid
