Description

Condition: The overall body is straight but has the common minor dings from 70 years of use that i did not fill for it brought character to the truck. There is no rust in the cab or undercarriage. If there is its simply topical. There is an area on the tail gate that the body filler is chipping that will need repair in the future. The bed was spayed with a liner. There are common dents in the bed. a hole in the size of a dime in on the driver side between two ribs from a puncture. The body was sand blasted then primed. once primed it was shot with two coats of hot rod black. The engine was rebuilt a couple hundred miles ago. It has a mild RV cam with all new rings and seals. The block was honed and all new freeze plugs put in. The heads were gone through to make sure hardened seats were installed with double springs for the valves. The pistons are flat tops with standard rods. The crank was turned to the new rings. The edelbrock intake and 750 carb allow for some good fuel to air ratio. however these 429's weren't known for their fuel economy. Standard stock manifolds with duel exhaust with two chambers that dump in-front of the axle. The transmission has not been rebuilt but when put in the truck it was in good condtion. The driver side shifting port seal was just changed and it has all new fluids with a chrome oil pan. Smooth shifting with no over drive. there are stock gears in the rear end. The frame came from a 1980 chevy sliverado. The bolt pattern obviously is chevy 5 on 5. 5. The rear 12 bolt is in good shape with no leaks and new fluids. The brakes have been rebuilt all the way around. Every master cylinder. caliper. brake line (soft. hard) distribution valve have been replaced. The front is standard half ton disk brakes with big block springs with 2" lowering spindles. New bearings and seals in front. It was recently aligned. It has power steering. The wheels are 17" steelies vintage. the fronts are 17x8 and rears are 17x9. The hub caps are early model ford. The interior is in good shape. The seat is a leather cadillac rear bench that was mounted to the original ford frame. The carpet is gray to match the seat. there is no head liner. The gage cluster works and all signals work. Steering column tilts with a GT steering wheel mounted to it. All the weather stripping was replaced including a new front windshield. The heater works well with no leaks. The windshield wipers were never mounted because the truck was never planed to drive in the rain but they are available. It has an A/C pump mounted but never completed. Items lacking: Gas gage hooked up but doesn't work properly Head lamp in cab Speedo cable is not hooked up Head linerMost of the odds and ends receipts are in a folder that identifies item purchased for truck.
