Description

First I have a factory 5. 0 1989 Ford Mustang Coupe 120. 31 original miles. on car only. Most all of the drive train is 5000 miles or less. Car is originally a California car and brought here in 2006 by the previous owner who was stationed there in the military. The car was originally black with grey interior. Since then the car was painted a gunmetal grey with ghost strips that you can see in the picture. The strips show good in the pics due to the lighting. Most days or evenings they are virtually unseen. Car cleans up to look awesome and shines great. I get many compliments as well as seems everyone wants to try and race this car at any stop light. Not that I would do that :). Also what's hard to find with these cars is finding a nice straight one that hasn't been wrecked all to hell and damaged doghouse. This car shows no damage anywhere under the hood and has original fenders with vin tags still on the car. I'm not the original owner but doesn't look like the car has ever been in a wreck or if it has nothing serious. I'll get to the list of mods though. I couldn't possibly remember everything. Ill give a good long list but just ask if you have any questions and Id be happy to answer. Motor is a 427 Stroker with a forged crank. Manley H beam rods. nbsp; and Probe 10. 5 1 compression pistons. Block is an SVO R 4 bolt main block. Block is capable of supporting over 2k hp. Has an external oil cooler. high volume oil pump. and a 7qt oil pan. Heads are Edelbrock Victor aluminum heads that are fully ported and polished with shaft mount Harlen Sharp roller rocker arms. Intake is also an Edelbrock Super Victor that is ported and polished port matched to heads. Cam shaft is a Motorsport hydraulic roller . 658 lift. Still has the serpentine belt set up with underdrive crank pulley. new power steering pump. new mini torque starter. and also has a Innovator aluminum harmonic balancer. Carb is a Quick fuel Technology Pro Form 950 CFM. Full MSD coil. 6AL Box. and distributor. Has BBK polished full length headers. 3in BBK X pipe. and Dynomax mufflers that dump at rear. Radiator is a Fluidyne 4 core aluminum with electric fans. Car has never gotten even close to running hot. Motor and trans mounts are red polyurethane mounts. Has a UPR tubular K member with tubular A arms. Has full length subframe connectors and a drive shaft safety loop. Suspension is all aftermarket. Has Eibach springs. Koni shocks. adjustable pan hard bar. Southside machine lower tubular control arms. boxed uppers. and welded torque boxes. Trans is a TKO 600 5 speed with a brand new Spec stage 3 puck style clutch and aluminum flywheel. Pro 5. 0 short throw shifter. Hurst line lock. nbsp;and custom drive shaft. Rear end is a 8. 8 housing with an Auburn locker. Moser axles. aluminum cover. nbsp;and a 373 gear. Car is 5 lug converted with 4 wheel disc brakes. Has drilled and slotted rotors with hawk pads. Wheels are 2 piece Denzenyo 17 in with brand new Nitto 555R 225/45/17 on front and Nitto Drag radial 275/45/17 on rear. Inner fenders have been rolled and can squeeze a 10. 5 tire under it without rubbing for running slicks. The body and paint are very nice. No rust. dents. or dings anywhere. Paint is nice and smooth and shines really well. Has new 3 piece clear headlights. Has a kill switch mounted behind the license plate. Also car as a very nice aggressive stance. Interior has Racaro high bolster seats with Autopower 5 point harness and a Autopower 6 point roll cage. Has a back seat but due to the cage its unusable. I had planed to just do a seat delete. Has Autometer 5 in tach with shift light. Autometer temp and oil pressure gauges mounted on an A pillar pod. Has an Alpine CD player with all Alpine speakers as well. Windows are tinted. Power windows and mirrors as well as trunk and gas door. Windshield wipers do work but I have the arms removed from the car. Also has a 3in fiberglass cowl hood. I know Im rambling but just typing as I remember. Motor was built by Livernois Race engines out of Bowling Green Ky. This motor with 13. 1 compression and much bigger cam along with 110 octane gas made 980hp but was built for a race team and race car. The motor was tamed down a bit for street use with 10. 5 1 pistons and . 658 cam with 93 octane and made 640hp. I can promise you that this car is a torque monster and tuned right. Its still honestly a little radical for the street. and loud. but that's what is so fun about the car. If you have never passed a car side ways smoking the tires at 70mph then you have never lived! Hell yes it will do it and has done it. This motor is instant power no waiting on boost. Intake has been drilled and plugged for a nitrous fogger kit but never sprayed. I rarely drive the car hard but I have pushed it a couple of times and it will absolutely scare the crap out of your passenger and get your heart pumping. Car also handles just awesome. Very fun back country cruiser. Motor alone is 15k. That's not including anything else but motor alone. That said Im not looking to recoupe the 25k that's been put into this car but if I cant get at least half that back then it will continue to set in my garage. I owe nothing on it and my insurance is cheap so not like I have to get rid of it. Im selling it due to really never having the time to go riding and have plans for work around the house.
