Description

1930 Ford Model A. rear engine V-8What we have here is a true one of a kind hot rod. 500 cubic inch V-8 out of a 74 Cadillac Eldorado. the engine has been subframed into the rear of the model A. still has original GM hydramatic auto transmission. rear independent suspension and rear disc brakes. the motor and transmission are good and solid. removable top. rear tires same as new. front tires about 40 percent. the body is all metal no fiberglass. has headlights taillights and brake lights. no speedometer. has tach but needs hooked up. has coolant temp gauge and oil pressure gauge. I have had this thing for about 5 years. It mainly sits in the garage and takes up space. I just purchased a diesel rat rod and my wife said its time to get rid of this if I wasn't going to drive it. it needs a few finishing touches but nothing that keeps it from running and driving. Things it needs:front shocks. the mounts are there I have just never mounted any. it tends to wander when you go over bumps and I think the front shocks would cure that. I never hooked up any turn signals or wipers. it has a wiper motor installed but no wires ran to it and no wiper armTransmission pan gasket leaks Carb could stand some adjustment it starts good but idles down to lowI have never drove the car with the top on it. it doesn't fasten down that good and I would b afraid of loosing it. plus I think the car looks better and its easier getting in and out of it with the top off. Has a few rivets loose on some of the metal pieces they need tightened up and just some general detail work from it sittingLike I stated earlier this car runs and drives. however I would suggest trailering it home. I haven't drove it much the last couple of years and would rather be safe than sorry. I have this car for sale locally also and reserve the right to end the auction early if the reserve hasn't been met yet.
