Description

You are bidding on a really nice. solid. and original one-owner. low mile (57k) 1978 Ford F-250 Custom two wheel drive pickup. It was purchased new locally by the original owner and used for around town runs only. hence the low miles. It still shows nicely in its' original white paint; not perfect but not in need of repaint unless you want a perfect show truck. The front and rear bumpers are nice. grill and surround excellent. and I do have the "R" that for the hood . Original wheels. wheel covers. and good radial tires. There is one small area of very minor body damage on the passenger side bed. over the wheel well and towards the back. Minor dent. paint scrape. I touched it up with a Ford white that was as close as I could get it. not perfect. but it's protecting the bed. The underside is clean and original. with both fuel tanks in proper working order. The power brakes have been done and work perfectly. The power steering is smooth. and the truck drives straight. has an excellent ride quality to it. stays cool. and is reliable. The interior is still nice. with the original rubber floor mat. seat upholstery. dash pad. gauge cluster. and headliner. The gauge cluster is excellent. all gauges work. in fact everything on this truck works except the CB; not currently connected. The body is pretty darned straight. very clean and solid underside with no outer-body rust issues. Floors are solid and perfect. cab mounts great. entire underside very clean. not scaly. Under the hood. you will find the truck exactly as it came from the factory; no modifications at all. other than a newer battery. fresh fuel filter and hoses. new plgs. wires. cap. rotor. etc. Runs great; get in. turn the key. and go. This is a fantastic example of what I think is Ford's best design era. the '78-'79 trucks were the pinnacle of 70's styling. in my opinion. This is a good one; buy it. get in. and drive it. Clear title in my name (matches the VIN exactly for inspection and/or export) on the way to me from the DMV. It will be 3-4 weeks before I receive it. sign it off. and mail it to you. You may call me at 360-936-9257 with any questions you might have. Please be prepared to remit payment within 3 days of auction's end via bank wire transfer. or deposit into my Bank of America account. While every effort has been made to describe the truck as accurately as possible. it is in fact a 37-year-old classic. and therefore being sold as-is. without warranty or guarantee. expressed. written. or implied. I am not a professional vehicle inspector. rather a classic auto enthusiast with a good eye. I've gone over her thoroughly and disclosed everything I could find. positive and negative. This is a great truck and is going to make someone very happy!
