Equipped with factory power steering and factory power disc brakes. Runs drives and stops good. I was told miles wereoriginalat 52xxx but I have no proof to support that claim. This truck is a daily driver and 3rd vehicle for our family for the past 8 months and approximately 2000 miles.Mechanicals: Engine starts easy runs smoothly drives nice shifts nice accelerates smoothly does not overheat and has good oil pressure. It has been retrofitted with a freshly remanufactured carter yf series manual choke carb that works great. It has a new NAPA water pump new coolant hoses new belts new spark plugs and fresh fluids. Theexhaust wasalso completely professionally rebuilt stem to stern as to duplicate factoryexhaust. This model did not have a catalyticconverter from factory. It also has new brakes frontrotors and a new master cylinder. The only issues it has that I am aware of are a few minor oil leaks. Nothing serious but it'll leave a couple small spots after being parked overnight. Also some of the original emission equipment that came with the truck has been been removed disabled or replaced in theinterest of improving the power efficiency andreliability of the truck so if your local laws require a emission equipment inspection be aware that it will likely not pass a visual inspection for compliance.Body: The paint is mostly original and looks good for being a 40 year old truck. Thatbeing said it does have minor scratches dings dents spots of touch up paint applied in the past and some very light surface rust. The mostnoticeable body issues are a small dent in the cab behind the driver and small rust developing around the back window area. There is norust that could not be removed with sandpaper. The hood was removed to perform a repair and it was not adjusted properly when reinstalled. It is not bent or damaged it will just need to be adjusted to fit better.The bed has a few small holes (1/2") from previouslymountedaccessories and some very light surface rust. It had a camper shell on it for most of its life so the bed is in goodcondition for its age. The weatherstripping is in goodcondition and the truck does not leak water from outside but there is some slight wind noise when the windows are rolled up. Factory 15" wheels with like new (90%) allterrain truck tires.Interior: Clean and Original except for the seat upholstery which was replaced due to a split seam. Dash pad is in great shape with no cracks. The original factory rubber floor mat is in great shape with little wear. The dash is very clean. The original ash tray looks new. All of the instruments are accurate and in working condition as are heater lightshorn wipers. The windshield has a rock chip that has been repaired. It has a modern securely installed CD player with usb ports mounted in the factory location. The speakers are mounted in custom made speaker boxes behind the seat (no holes cut in the body). It does have factory dual fuel tanks although I have only used the forward tank. The factorycigarette lighter andreceptaclehas been removed to allow for a more convenient factory-looking mounting location for the manual choke control knob. The same original key works for both the doors and ignition switch.Title: Clean Oregon title and currently registered in my name.License plates will not come withthe truck. I do have the original window sticker sales receiptand owners manual that will go with the truck. I will provide a trip permit at my own expense for the buyer if they choose to drive the vehicle homeThis is a nice original truck with a desirable and uncommon powertrain combination that is stillserviceable40 years after itwas made. This is not a restored truck but one that has been cared for and used sparingly for the last 40 years. It gets driven about 3-4 times a week for a 30 mileround trip into town. It is reliable enough that I let my wife drive it into to town with our youngest son onoccasion. I would consider it to be a reliable vehicle for that. It does not currently have any obvious problems or show any obvious symptoms of an impending problem that would prevent it from being driven home. Could you fly in and drive it home 3000 miles?
