Description

Up for auction is 1941 Ford COE truck that rolls on a 1980 Chevy full size 2wd half ton truck frame. It could be described as a "Rat Rod" but thecraftsmanshipandworkmanshipis far from just being tossed together. It is a driver and has about 21000 miles on it after its completed build in late 2011Now for the details of this ride... Body - 1941 Ford COE with original green patina paint and lettering on the side. Its been channeled over the frame 10'' with a new custom steel floor. The removable engine cover has been coated with Lizard Skin heat and sound dampener and the rest of the cab has been treated to bomb proof heat shielding. Anti rattle hardware kit window tracks and door rubbers have all been replaced. Tinted glass rear and sides and lightly tinted 2 piece sealed glass on the front cleared by new electric wiper set up. Rostra aftermarket cruise control Vintage Air heat defrost and Ac gen 2 system. Gauges are Dolphin electric gauges and sending units with a programmable speedo. Seats are custom made aluminum bomber seats with hand stitched black leather cushions. AM/FM Stereo is I-pod Mp3 compatible and all these function and creature comforts being controlled by an American Auto Wire Highway 22 wiring harness. Drive Train -Motor- 1980 Chevy 350 topped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and 1406 electric choke 4 barrel carb sparked by a new HEI distributor and alternator. New gaskets were installed along with a new fuel pump and water pump all being spun by an updated serpentine belt set up to flow the coolant to the updated radiator which keeps her running at a safe 190 degrees and all the exaust exit through dual pipes. -Transmission and rear end- Chevy Turbo 350 3 speed automatic with stock replacement converter and external trans cooler and only 200 miles since trans rebuild being told what to do by a Lokar 32" tall shifter 10 bolt opendifferential with 3:08 rear gearsmotivating the rig down the road.-Chassis- 1980 chevy half ton 2wd. Coil spring front leaf spring rear.Power brakes operate disc in front and drum rear with working E-brake. Chassis was inspected at time of build and all fuel (plumedto a new 15.5 Tanks Inc. fuel tank) and brake lines and brake parts were replaced. Chassis is tight and sound and passes NSRA Safety 23 and Maine statesafetyinspection every year. The Chassis also holds the Fifth matching spare tire and custom painted wheel (notstriped) with the spare tire carrier under the hand made custom oak floor and steel flat bed. (mini jack kept in the coke cooler now storage box).This COE can also hall a car trailer beingequipped with trailer Reese hitch brake switch and big trailer plug for trailer brakesWheels purchased from Coker tire are custom painted and striped 5 on 5 15x7 unilug steelies from Mr. Chips Customs and wrapped in 225/75/15 rubber topped with Ford caps (matching wheel and tire combo spare except the stripe and cap)Visor is a narrowed 1950 chevys visor Front bumper is a reworked 1960 VW bug and the rear bumper is 1957 chevy car bumper flipped and also reworked.This truck is reliable dependable and safe with Hi/Low beams brake lights turn signals all just like a modern vehicle. Note the picture in front of the Boot Hill Saloon in Daytona FL...
