Evolve Motors is pleased to represent our clients stunning 1971 Ford Thunderbird. The owner is a well known pianist here in Chicago and has lead a very successful orchestra that you very well may have seen or heard. His artistic abilities and flair for eye (and ear) catching style really shine through in this car. What started as a Deep Blue '71 was professionally repainted in 2003 to it's current gloss black. The car sports it's original white interior over the optional bucket seats. The 429 engine is the original motor that this bird was built with. The grille was swapped for the more stylish 1970 grille when the car was repainted. The owner also added some newer style deep dish aluminum wheels (we have the original wheel covers) to really set the car off. The owner also had a custom power cliding sunroof installed which looks and works great. As you can see this car is a stunner and perfectly balanced all around. It spend most of it's life at the owners house California and since it has been back in Chicago it has been garage kept and covered. No expense was spared with maintaining and servicing this '71 and you will have all the service records to support that dating back to the late 80's.

The body is super straight and all the panel gaps are tight and true. The doors snap when they are shut and are free of sagging in the hinges. The body work is excellent and the paint work looks fantastic. The trim is straight and clean and the grilles and emblems all look great. As you can see the under hood area is super clean and looks outstanding with the perfect amount of patina. We note a couple dime sized door dings (no paint damage) on the drivers door which were from his daily driver being parked next to it.

Inward the original white interior still retains it's brightness and overall withstood the test of time nicely. The dash and trim looks nice with consistent patina. The car was a non smoker and kept dry so the interior is free of any odors. The sills and brite work all show excellent and solid. The owner installed a custom stereo head which is mounted in position in the center console and looks nice.

Mechanically this car is an absolute pleasure. It runs nice and smooth smoke free. It does not appear to have any noticeable leaks. It makes fantastic power and cruises along nicely. With Power Steering AC and Power Brakes this bird is so much fun to cruise. The AC kicks on and blows cool but could probably use a recharge. The lights windows and radio all work properly.
