Here’s a great example of a K-code Hardtop that was garaged in Arizona most of its life. The body is perfectly straight no dents or damage and the glass and stainless look new and are original to the car. Hagerty’s Valuation Guide reveals that the ’65 Fairlane 500 Hardtop coupe is steadily climbing in value.

Add to this all the line wires are new including hoses and a beautiful chrome engine dress up kit (water pump power steering pump alternator pulleys and more).

VIN 5K47C190566 features the original AM radio from 1966 and newer high-tech aftermarket gauges a dual performance exhaust system new heater core new shocks springs glass-pak style mufflers chromed Crager wheels new tires and a custom car cover. Car includes maintenance receipts and much more. It was originally assembled at Ford's plant in Kansas City.

Best of all odometer reads only 93379 original miles. Doesn’t get much better than this classic Fairlane 500 Sport Coupe that’s been well-maintained and regularly serviced. It’s a great driver that handles well drives beautifully starts faithfully and is ready for the show circuit.

About Factory Correct Cars offered by BlueChip Motorcars

BlueChip Motorcars periodically offers classic cars that may be listed as Factory Correct or Numbers Matching. Because there are many opinions about the term(s) used to describe these types of listings allow us to explain how BlueChip Motorcars comes to that assessment.

As you may know depending on the source the term “matching numbers or factory correct” may mean many things to many people. Purists might define it as a car with every possible window crank dash knob or even every nut and bolt is original to the car from the time it left the production line. Although some classic cars do exist in that rare condition most do not.

The majority of classic cars on the market were at some point in their ownership restored or repaired with NOS parts (new old stock) or licensed reproduction parts. Whenever the information is available to us about the use of these parts BlueChip Motorcars will gladly pass it along to the potential buyer.

BlueChip Motorcars uses the term Factory Correct or Numbers Matching only to distinguish a vehicle where the engine casting code corresponds with the VIN and Cowl Tag code. If these codes tell the same story about the car in question BlueChip Motorcars then considers it to be a Factory Correct or Numbers Matching vehicle. However unless otherwise stated the transmission rear end and transmission may or may not be original to the car.

BlueChip Motorcars welcomes all potential buyers to verify all the information with a qualified expert. We would be happy to email you all the numbers that are obtainable on any vehicle where the term Factory Correct or Matching Numbers is used.
