Description
Beautiful 52 Ford stake bed!! Truck is in amazing original condition. Some original paint still remains. Frame and floor pans are like new. This is a three owner truck from the Toledo area. First owner had it until around 2010. He used it on the farm unil it broke down in 1970. He pushed it into a corn bin where it sat for the next forty years. He traded the truck to his next door neighbor in exchange for work on his tractor. The next door neighbor did the restore except for the engine which was professionally rebuilt (have receipts) it needed a new crank shaft. The original flat head v-8 was re-installed back in the truck. Runs like a sewing machine. Non-synchronized four speed transmission. Truck is a real survivor in amazing condition. Interior is great too. Seat recovered in original material and colors. 1/4" steel plate over original wood bed. I've had it to a few car shows and some old Ford truck guys told me the cab is a rare upgrade. Cant remember what they called it? Four star maybe? Anyhow has a heater that works, o radio, ood vent. Ultra cool vehicle. We used it our farm stand and for farmers markets. It was great fun! A really great old truck that still can work. Paint is an 8 out of 10. I didn't do the body work but I think theirs a little mud in the fenders. Nothing terrible but a few paint bubbles showing up. If youve owned old cars you know the deal. Every few years you're always touching up something! Theirs a spot on top of one of their fenders where the paint just didn't stick and flaked off, ipers are vacuum and don't work well. Dash lights went out probably a fuse. Gas gauge is inaccurate. All very minor stuff considering the age. Oh yeah tires are very old and have inner tubes. Top speed is about 45 so if you're taking it a long distance in needs to be trailered. Although when I bought it I drove it home on the back roads from Toledo!! Took all day but she made it no problems. I replaced both water pumps. Did a tune up on it last fall. Added an electric fan to help keep it cool. Thats been it. Super reliable starts every time. I don't think I need to tell you how hard it is to find a truck thats 63 years old thats in this kind of condition?! We've enjoyed her but its time she gets a new home. Great addition to your farm or horse ranch. I am so confident you will be thrilled with this vehicle upon inspection that iffor any reason you are not happy I will refund your deposit andcancel the sale.
