This incredibly intact show rod from the late 60’s known as the ‘Cockroach’, eatures the original 78 coats of candy apple amber lacquer sprayed in the late 60’s- early 70’s. The original 31 Ford Roadster body is channeled 8” over a chrome plated frame based on a modified 32 ford chassis with custom made wish bones and fully plated suspension and hand made chrome-plated nerf bars.The original Deuce shell has also been sectioned to match the cowl height.Underneath there is a fully chromed floor board under the body. The interior features a Hollywood accessory panel with a full array of vintage SW instruments. The interior and trunk is finished in 1960s-era black diamond pleated upholstery with matching carpeting.
The Buick Nailhead is topped by six chrome Stromberg carburetors on a polished Drag Star with all of the Weiand Nailhead accessories from the 60’s. The original builder, im Cooper also hand built this wild set of headers that also incorporates a full length under car exhaust.The original build photos documenting the 6 year build come with the car along with an issueof the Traditional Rod & Kulture cover feature. This car was also a feature car in Pat Ganahl's book titles: Lost Hot Rods II.
