1928 Ford Model A 5 Window Sport Coupe in Unrestored Condition offered by Gas Monkey Garage . NO TITLE. ! First produced in October 1927, he new Model A was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors. By February 4, 929, ne million Model A’s had been sold, nd by July 24, enry Ford had sold two million. By March 1930, odel A sales hit three million, nd there were nine body styles available. This is the 5 Window Sport Coupe that is the subject of many Hot Rod and Rat Rod builds. This good restorable example has been stored in an unprotected garage for quite some time! This Model A is solid and fairly rust free with a pretty straight and undamaged body (see all pics) including the trunk area! Now there are several cars that I always buy when I find them and clean, olid Model A coupe’s are one of them. When I saw this one was I acted quickly to secure it and get it back to the shop. This would be a great project for Aaron and the crew to get running again and build here in the shop, ut with our schedule we just can’t and I know there are a lot of good folks out there that are wanting a good, lean and solid Model A Sport Coupe project but they don’t have the time to chase down every lead, o I’m offering it to you just the way we found it so you can build it the way you want! The original 201 cid 4 cylinder motor was swapped out some time ago with what looks like a 1600 cc Pinto motor? With a Webber DGV Series carb all of which are of unknown condition with what looks like the original 3 speed transmission also untested. This car does not run or drive and will need complete servicing before attempting to start for the first time and will have to be towed.
