Description

1968 ford Ranchero 500... This car has 60,000 actual miles, his is documented on the title. The 302 motor, nd automatic trans, uns, drives and stops like a car with 60,000 miles should. The car was like a time capsule when I found it. I have done very little to the car, o it remains all mostly original except paint. She is very complete and ready to be used as a daily driver, ut also still a good candidate for a full concourse restoration, eing that all the parts "seem" to be original from the factory and belong to this car. Everything is still very tight.. no rattles, haking, oises, r squeeks. This is a very nice condition car being that not much has been done to it.. except paint. Everything is how you would expect a 47 year old car to be, ot perfect,,, nbsp;but in pretty good condition.

The only things I have done to the car mechanically were:

Cleaned the gas tank, djusted point, il change, reak hoses and wheel cylinders. The car fired up after a long period of not running and purred like a kitten. The motor sounds very tight and healthy. The car shifts like it shoul, ut it seems like the shifter linkage may need adjusted when putting into park. This presents no problem mechanically it still goes into all gears as it should. I'm just trying to be super specific, want you to feel confident bidding. I truly believe this is a good original car, ot some rusted out junk or car put together with parts from 100 different cars..

The interior is also all original, hat being said the original carpet could use replaced and the dash is showing some sun damage as well as the head liner could use a little attention. What looks to be the original spare tire, nd jack equipment are still behind the original seats which are in fantasticcondition along with the rest of the trim in the car which is still tight and bright black. I am attempting to be as specific as possible, ecause like I said I want you to bid confidently. The things I pointed our are still in half decent condition. They "seem" to be original to the car from 1968, nd not perfect, ut theystill look good in my opinion, hat's why I didn't change them.

I have not owned the car long, nd I do not claim to be an expert on 1968 Ranchero's, or do I claim to have gone over every detail with a fine toothed comb. I did not paint the car my self, ut the place i took it to, nbsp;told me that the car was very straight and showed to be honest. There was little to no body work done from what I understand. The original color was a green bronze, hen i discovered it, he car had already had the color changed to maroon. I had it painted red, nd it was not cheap.

I do know a little about cars tho, nd this car seems solid and and to my un-trained eye seems to be a very high percentage correct, omplete and original, own to the original rally wheels. I put a picture of the nada guid price. I believe this car will def fall in the average retail section based on the nada description of average retail, aybe even the high side considering the originality.

car is being sold AS-IS, here it is.. I can help load it. I have no problem showing the car; if you want to inspect and drive it.. In fact i recommend it... the car speaks for it self. . Please ask questions. If you want more detailed pics I can txt or e mailthem to you. This is a good find.. I want you to ask me questions, o that when you get it, ou are satisfied. I will even answer questions over the phone. The car is also listed locally on Pittsburgh Craig's list, he seller reserves the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally.
