You are looking at a beautiful 1967 Country Sedan that is still wearing most of its original paint. I purchased this car from the original owners about a year ago, nd I have been amazed at how well it has been maintained over the years. As you can see by the condition of the paint and interior panels, he car has been garage kept all of its life. The car still has the original 289 V8 that runs perfectly. It starts right up and idles smoothly with no strange noises and does not smoke. The original owner said the oil was changed faithfully since new, nd the motor has never been out of the car. The original cruise-o-matic transmission shifts strong and does not slip. I have a small notebook that contains a record of oil changes, une ups, rakes and repairs, nd even gas fill ups over the last 40-something years. The notebook even has some interesting trivial things in it, uch as CB handles and channels his buddies were on when he traveled in different areas. As I mentioned, he car has most of its original paint. When I bought the vehicle, found a few places just behind both rear doors and the lower quarter panel on the drivers side. These were professionally cut out and had new metal molded in. The bottom of the doors had a lot of rock chips, o I decided to give it some fresh paint from the bottom of the trim down. It really looks great now. The original paint looks new from a few feet back, ut upon close inspection you can see the patina you would expect on an all original '67 model car. When you look at the pictures, lease notice that there is a small ding in the body line of the drivers front fender, ome paint worn thin at the top of the drivers door where it was used as an arm rest, nd there are some scratches on the passenger door that appear to have been done by a dog. These places don't jump out at you nor take away from the beauty of the car, ut upon close inspection you can see them. There are also a few places where the paint is worn thin along body line creases, ut overall she looks great! Again, will be adding lots of pictures to look at. The interior of the car is very nice as well. There are no rips or tears in the original door panels or arm rest, nd the headliner is perfect. The back seat is almost perfect as well. The front seat has a rip on the bottom drivers side,so I keep a cover over it. Other than that, he interior shows very well. I did find that there are places where matching vintage materials and colors can be ordered to repair the seat. The dash pad has a small crack next to the speaker opening. The carpet has no rips or tears and no funny smells. It is naturally a bit faded after 47 years. Following is a list of items that have been replaced on the car in the last 3000 miles:
* New rears brakes, heel cylinders and brake lines.
* New front brake pads and calipers
* New power steering hoses
* New radiator and water pump
* New radiator hoses and heater hoses
* Complete tune up
* Rebuilt carburetor and new fuel pump
* Complete exhaust system from the motor back
* 4 new shocks. This car runs down the road great at 70 mph with no shakes or shimmies. It also brakes smooth and straight. However, much prefer driving it about 55mph on the mountain roads around where I live and wave back to all the smiling admirers of the car. When you are out and about in her, eople love to look and share their childhood memories in an ole wagon. The rear seat goes down smoothly and leaves plenty of room to haul your weekend flea market finds or to load it up for a weekend camping trip to the lake. All of the glass and chrome are in very good condition. The only chrome damage is on the very top of the tailgate hinge. Everything on this car works as it should. All lights, ncluding dash lights and interior lights, re in good working condition. The horn still blows properly using the chrome horn ring on the steering wheel. The gas gauge, ll warning lights, nd the windshield wipers work perfectly. The original AM radio even plays and picks up a few local stations. The cruise control was added by Sears sometime in the late sixties. It works, ut not properly. The car has a slight drive train noise at low speed that I think is a universal joint or possibly a wheel bearing. It does not vibrate, o I haven't been too concerned with checking it. I also found a small amount of rust on the outer frame rail under the driver's front door area (about 4 inches long). I had it checked by a welder, nd he said it would be an easy, nexpensive repair. It does not affect the integrity of the car, ut I am just trying to list every little thing here. If I were to keep the car, wouldn't bother repairing the area. This is a well preserved, riginal car that has not been fooled with or modified in any way. It is very hard to find an old Country Sedan this nice! This car has the original window sticker, uild sheet, ill of sale and '67 Ford shop manual with it, oo. I even left a vintage Disney World and Stone Mountain bumper sticker from the early '70s. I think it adds to the nostalgia of the car. Please email me with any specific questions and I will get back with you soon. If you have a 0 feed back, lease do not bid without contacting me first, therwise the bid will be removed. Thanks a lot for looking! >
