This is a true code 63B car (i.e. 63B means a fastback with deluxe interior).

It is a documented fact that 99% of 1965 Mustang production came from the factory as something other than a “fastback WITH deluxe Pony Interior”. And this very rare 1%’er also came from the factory as a black on black, igh option example making it all the more RARE.

Although restored approximately 10 years ago it shows very little evidence of use. In fact it is close to show room new in appearance. There is no fatigue in the interior and the paint while not concurs perfect, t is non-the-less outstanding and would be considered “show quality” by the most critical paint expert. It shows almost ZERO evidence of wear, ithout a notable chip, ing, ent or even scratch. Also, he engine bay remains super clean and show ready. This car has been fussed over and protected by a serious car guy …. it is the kind of fastback that you dream of finding. Seasoned car folks will instantly recognize that this is a very special car in both terms of its RARITY and its CONDITION.

What else makes it special?

* True factory BLACK on BLACK fastback. This is one of the hardest color combinations to find and in the minds of many, ne of the most desirable. The Gold accents were added as a tribute to the Shelby Hertz Rent-A-Racer.

* OPTIONS …. Options make a big difference in these cars in terms of desirability and value. This one is loaded with some of the rarest and most desirable options available in 1965, ee list below.

Body

The body panels are laser straight and appear to be all original FORD panels. . When I had it on the lift I noted that the floors appeared to be 100% original and in amazing condition. This is freakishly rare.

Paint

Wow ….. simply put it’s stunning. It has that deep wet look and extreme slick finish. Yea, his was an expensive paint job.

Interior

The interior is in beautiful, lose to show quality perfect condition. With very little effort it could be concurs perfect. Simply put, t is very hard to beat a black PONY interior …. unquestionably one of the top “hall-of-fame” designs to come out of Detroit in the 1960’s.

Mechanical Performance

The car runs great and sounds fantastic doing it. The brakes stop with confidence and the car steers effortlessly with the Power Steering. It shifts smoothly and runs strong ….. this is a HAPPY little 289 that that will really go …. however it is NOT overbuilt with a wild cam and it does NOT run hot or exhibit any bad habits of any kind. It has obviously been rebuilt by a previous owner and as far as I can tell has seen very little use since that rebuild. Everything is in excellent working condition except Rally Pack & 8-Track. Given time and a little extra money we can have these items removed, epaired and sent to you for re-install.

The exhaust note is excellent. It has its original factory exhaust manifolds hooked to FRESH aluminized dual system with a balance pipe, unning through Flow Master 40’s terminating with factory style GT extensions & tips through the rear body panel.
