Here is a very nice 30 Ford Coupe Street Rod that I am selling for a friend who is not a computer whiz, ot that I am, ut I get by. You might wonder why the car is for sale. Jerry has the chance to buy back the 1964 Ford Thunderbolt drag car he had many years ago and just has to have it. He needs to sell this car, hat he has enjoyed for years, o help fund that purchase.
This is an all-steel, urray bodied coupe with a custom built frame. The body is solid and has been painted in Hot Rod Semi-Gloss Black. The doors hang straight and latch nicely. The deck lid fits well, ut does not have any hold-up shocks or springs, ee the nice dowel rod in the pic.
The engine is a '64 Chevrolet 327, uilt to stock specs, ut has more than enough go for a car this light. The carb is an Edelbrock1404 manual choke 500 cfm and works great. The car and engine have 24,000 trouble-free miles and it runs on regular gas with 9.0 to 1 compression. It has a Pro Comp distributor with the coil and ignition box inside under the dash to keep it out of sight and the weather. You will see the Weiand intake in the pics, ut the Turbo 350 trans can't be seen. The rear end is a 10 bolt GM from a 2003 S-10 pickup.
The radiator is from a 68 Chevelle and cools the car just fine. On trips in Florida, hen others were overheating, his coupe ran cool, o problems ever with overheating. As you can see, he fan is a standard mechanical unit.
The brakes work very well, ith Wilwood front discs and the stock S-10 drums in the rear. The master cylinder is from a 78 Chevy pickup with discs and drums. You should start to see that if the car ever needed service all the parts are easily purchased at your local auto parts store and reasonableprices. The parts all work well together and you end up with a car easy to own. The front suspension is Roadster brand with tubular chrome shocks.
The interior is comfortable with a GM tilt column and full instrumentation. I should not that when Jerry put in the fuel cell he neglected to install a sending unit, o the gas gauge does not work. An easy fix and not very expensive, ut Jerry never bothered.
All the lights work including the turn signals. The taillights are OE 1950 Pontiac units.
The tires are in excellent condition and the fronts are P205/70 15 Coopers and the rears are P255/70-15 BFG. Despite the different brands the tread patterns match well. The wheels are steel and have nice dog-dish hubcaps with "FORD" script.
This car runs great, rives and stops straight and other than a gas gauge, eeds nothing.
