"Car will be sold to the first reasonable offer".
This is a one owner car. I knew the owner of this car. He was elderly when I was young. It was driven to my friends house in late 1977 and parked in his garage and it sat there since 1977. Cylinders were sprayed with lubricant sometime after he dropped it off. My friend re-titled it in 1979. I have the clean NJ title in hand with the prefix A on it. In Jersey, very time a car is re-titled,whether it is put in service or stored,it goes up by one letter. He asked me to sell it, ransported to my house in Hudson. Since neither of us need the car, "reasonable offer" will own it. Electrical system is original 6 volt and all in place, ice and clean - not cut or altered. Has a oil bath, lathead V8 with a 3 speed stick on the column. Car is designated Ford model SuperDeluxe8, Door Sedan. Car has never been in an accident. Bumpers are perfectly straight. Body lines and trim flow perfectly all around. Some body and chrome parts have expected rusty areas. Frame has rust but is not rusted thru in any area and everything on the undercarriage is complete front to rear, ncluding the single tailpipe exhaust system. This car can be in road worthy condition with minimum dollars and expected labor. The keys were in it when parked but someone took them along with some pats mentioned below. We hand turned the motor and it is free but we haven't started the car. If I start the car, 'll for sure end up keeping it and I don't need another antique car - my Model A is just fine with me. Odometer has not gone around and is showing the exact, riginal 23,522 miles on the car. This was driven locally in Jersey till 1977, o it does have those 30 years of use. Body is perfectly straight as seen. One passenger rear door has bottom rust - all others are fine. Has some rusted lower fender corners where it and or they meet the running boards. One area inside the trunk has some rust and some rust holes as seen in one of the pictures. Body has a couple scrapes and a minor ding here and there. Roof is dent, ing and rust free - nice as it can be. All the dashboard knobs, he radio and speaker, shtrays on top of dash, ent handle and other handles, tc... are on/in the car. Clutch goes down and returnssmoothlyand trans feels and dry shifted fine. Has the complete jack, ack base and handle. Brakes will need to be bled out to get a pedal - pretty sure the wheel cylinders are ok. . Fuel lines, ank, tc... need to be flushed. Ignition and door keys, s mentioned, re missing. The driver side front vent window and rear vent windows have cracks - all the other glass is intact. Windshield is fine - no chips. Has the wiper blades and radioantenna. Paint is original - title has color as BL ( Blue) but looks light gray. Original interior with front/rear seat covers installed, e think, n the early 60s. We just put on the front hood emblem and hood ornament - seen in a picture or two. We have the center grill ornament that we'll put on. It needed one hood hinge spring, o I picked up two new ones but haven't installed them. Parts for these year Fords are very easy to find in original condition or reproduction.Front tires are the originals and rubber is dry rotted but are holding air.The rear had flat, orn out snow tires so we replaced them with two Brand new B.F Goodrich 16" tires. All rims are original 6.00 x 16. Here's what is missing - the 4 moon style hubcaps (this has all 4 beauty rings and a spare snow tire on rim). Missing the trunk ornament, tail light bezel (has the glass lenses on both sides), eadlights, eadlight retainer rings, ne outer headlight ring, ront parking light lenses, 6v battery and as mentioned, he keys. Those are the only missing parts. Car is not perfect but a very solid, bsolute 100% stock car for restoration or can be Lead Sledded or an all out Street Rod. Can move a little on price. After full payment is received, can hold the car for a reasonableamountof time till you can pick her up - your in no rush. You'll need a tow bar, ow dolly or flatbed to move her. Thanks
(car is listed on Craigslist in the Tampa bay section under car/trucks by owner)
