I have owned the truck for 23 years, nd it has served me well. I have always wanted to make it into a cool Street Rod. To that end I have installed the items listed below. I have thought many times about doing the body, nd paint thing, ut never got around to it, nd everywhere I go people say “WOW, hat a cool truck,” and when I mention spiffing it up, hey say “OH MAN’ don’t do that, t looks great with that original patina.”

The only exception is, he steering gearbox has some “play” (as most of these trucks do) Under the “Other Parts” listed below, nd in the photos, ou will see 2 items, ither of which, an fix this issue. First is a Toyota Pickup Power Steering Box, nd Pump. This was taken from a low mileage, id size Toyota Pickup which had been rear-ended. The second is a new, ever used, Chassis Engineering” IFS, olt on, ross Member Kit, hich accepts Pinto, r Mustang 2 suspension parts (not included). The front axle on the truck was completely rebuilt including tie rod ends, bout 20000 miles ago, nd is in fine condition.

As you can see from the photos, t does have some small rust through in a few places, nd the body has some light surface rust. The floor boards are sound as are the door bottoms. There is some “Bondo” on the right rear fender, The Door Glass, nd Back Glass have cracks, nd NEED TO BE REPLACED. The left door has a crease thanks to a suicidal Texas deer, ho also left his (final) imprint in the left rear fender. See “Extra Stuff” below.
I had the Seat completely restored some years ago, nd it’s still in very good condition. The Door Latches are original, nd need replacing, nd a set of NEW “Bear Claw” Latches come with the Truck (see the “Extra Stuff”).
