The grille shell was painted to match, nd contrasting black burgundy are a traditional look that dates back to the earliest days of motoring. You'll note that the hood louvers are cleverly airbrushed onto the hood sides, here are flames at the leading edge of the hood, nd a subtle pinstripe to highlight the beltline trim. We also like the King Bee-style headlights that look like they belong on the car, he smooth billet grille insert, nd the inclusion of rubber running boards for practicality.Inside, owever, t's 100% modern, ith low-back gray tweed buckets and all the creature comforts you'd expect from a top-notch piece. The Vicky body style allows expansive room front and rear, o four can travel comfortably, et it's a lot more stylish than a frumpy sedan. The dash has been smoothed and modified to hold a set of Auto Meter gauges, cool set of aircraft-style rocker switches, nd a custom enclosure for the tilt steering column. An AM/FM/cassette stereo has been installed in a custom enclosure under the dash and the A/C system has been neatly tucked out of sight. The back seat is big enough for life-sized adults and while it's not flashy, t's comfortable and very well executed.The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8, hich shouldn't come as a surprise. As you can imagine, he car is a blast on the street, nd drives beautifully without any high-strung nonsense that afflicts some rods. The engine bay is beautifully detailed with lots of chrome and billet aluminum, nd someone clearly went the extra mile with the plumbing and electrical systems to keep it all so sanitary. A massive aluminum radiator and a custom electric fan and shroud keep it all cool. For easy cruising, here's a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission spinning a Ford 8-inch rear with 3.50 gears, o performance off the line is impressive but it's still comfortable on the highway. The completely fabricated frame and suspension features a Mustang II front suspension, ower rack-and-pinion steering, nd power front disc brakes for some serious stopping power. Handsome chrome Cragars offer a traditional hot rod look and are staggered for the perfect rake. This is a beautifully built rod that was finished just a few years ago.
