The Ford Model T is an automobile that was produced by Ford Motor Company from October 1, 908, o May 26, 927. The Ford Model T was named the most influential car of the 20th century in the 1999 Car of the Century competition, head of the BMC Mini, itroen DS and the Volkswagen Type 1.

The Model T had a front-mounted 177-cubic-inch inline four-cylinder engine, roducing 20 hp. According to Ford Motor Company the engine was capable of running on gasoline, erosene or ethanol. The Model T was a rear wheel drive vehicle. Its transmission was a planetary gear type billed as “three speed”. In today’s terms it would be considered a two-speed, ecause one of the three speeds was reverse. Model T suspension employed a transversely mounted semi-elliptical spring for each of the front and rear beam axles which allowed a great deal of wheel movement to cope with the dirt roads of the time. The front axle was drop forged as a single piece of steel. Wheels were wooden artillery wheels. Tires were pneumatic clincher type, 0 in diameter with slightly staggered widths.
