Description

Up for bidding consideration: A very hard to find, nd getting rarer by the day.A 1956 GMC factory V-8 3 speed DELUXE cab and tutone paint and trim. I put a battery in, nserted the ORIGINAL key (#9190 I have them both from the dealer) turned the ignition to start but the generator was removed so no juice to the starter or voltage regulator. The motor does turn over and is not locked up. The 3 speed transmission shifts into all gears including reverse. The original key still locks and unlocks the passenger door and glove box and turns the ignition!! The headlights (both original "T-3" bulbs) and running lights came on. Oil did not have any signs of moisture or milkiness. I've owned this pickup twice now, ought it back in 2002 from a 1930s-1960 closing salvage yard,I sold it and have just acquired it back!! The story was that it was parked in the mid 1960s due to generator going out ( I did find a generator and 2 old voltage regulators behind the seat) see photo. The salvage yard owner did not want to part out the truck because it was nice and original and complete, o it sat for decades. At some point the driver door, ailgate, ood were stolen/taken. That's when I bought the whole truck, hen sold it in 2002. After this auction is over the winning bidder can purchase, f they so desire, : door, ailgate, nd hood for this truck; Door-$350.00, ood with GMC Emblem-$300.00, nd GMC Tailgate-$200.00. And I will put them with truck after paid off, o they can be shipped with truck. These deluxe cab chromed out V-8 Jimmys are getting very hard to find. I know this truck is worth a lot more as parts but I hate to see another bite the dust!! It rolls and steers easily, ires hold air but 2 have slow leaks, o brakes. I will provide a notarized bill of sale only, o title and can also give a copy of the bill of sale I received back in 2002, hich is also notarized. Please check with your state on titling bill of sale autos, s each state if different. The cover page 1st photo shows the hood I have that can be purchased separately, t's just sitting on the truck but I will bolt it down, f buyer so wishes to buy the hood after auction is over . I removed seat so you can see how solid the cab floor is, idway back. That is the original rubber floor mat,or what's left anyways!!Has: dual visors, eater, eluxe trim inside and outside, shtray, hrome gauges etc. and as you can see on the firewall, he original assembly line workers grease pencil markings for the options this truck was to receive going down the assembly line, nd it's in the most ionic color-Turquoise!! with the iconic white tutone. Look... at the original steering wheel patina, s on the rest of the truck. I removed the windshield as the rubber gasket was so dry and brittle, till very usable as a driver quality . I can tape it in, r box/wrap it up and put it in the cab for transport. Still has its last embossed Oklahoma tag on it from 1966 when it was last used. The miles on the odometer may be original, don't know, 2,252.7???. Comes the the extra parts seen on ground in photo, lso the auction page cover photo is with the hood that can be bought at a extra fee 300.00 it's just setting on truck right now. this also this has all the deluxe cab trim, river door piece needs work see photo of parts. Please call with concerns or questions. No zero feedback bidders please. Call with any questions, mails get slower response. I have 100% positive feedback for a reason...I tell it like it is!The number to call is 405-612-5666.
