Up for sale is my 1991 GMC Syclone. It is a private sale with no hidden fees or taxes. What you bid is what you pay. I am selling it due to a move and extended travel for work in the near future and I will not have time to complete the truck due to that schedule. I have other projects that will take precedence. For that reason I have placed a very low reserve on the sale of the truck and all of the brand new parts and custom items. Below I have described the history, xtras items included, xterior condition, nterior condition, nd Mechanical Condition. This is the perfect quick project for you to have your dream truck cheap. Or the opportunity to own one of the coolest trucks made spend some time and turn it for a profit. These trucks are very hard to come by and command high resale value that is only increasing. I have watched prices on trucks in just the last couple of years increase significantly. So if you want to get in the game now is the time to do it. It may not happen ever again with such a low production vehicle.
HISTORY:Stock/unmodified truck besides a Magnaflow Exhaust and K&N replacement serviceable air filter element. I purchased the truck over 2 years ago from another seller here in Texas. I have had little time to do anything other than buy a boatload of new parts and wash it since. It started out as a high end lease out of California. This truck does carry a Blue Texas "Rebuilt" title. The title history shows an accident this is where the "rebuilt" status comes from. The truck was considered a loss because new cladding pieces were no longer in production so the insurance company had to pay the claim. The purchaser of the truck at the time had the truck inspected and it was then issued a rebuilt title. From what I was told the accident damage was that minor that it didn't need to be repaired to be inspected because the damage was all superficial. The accident damaged the right front cladding which was missing when I purchased the truck and I had replaced. In addition the tailgate was damaged and pushed the rear roll pan in a downward angle. The two rear most pieces of cladding had damage to the backside where the mount tabs are. I was able to loosen the rollpan / rear bumper at the brackets and push it back into place. I have also replaced the two license plate lamps with new GM units (not shown in the photos) I am including a used GM southern tailgate. I will need some repair but it's not some Chinese junk.
EXTRA PARTS & ITEMS INCLUDED WITH SALE:

EXTERIOR CONDITION:
It shows well now in its current condition. I have had over a dozen people stop and ask if I am selling the truck in the couple of days that I had it parked at the end of my driveway as shown. The number of people that have just slowed to look is countless. So plan on plenty of attention when buying this truck.Very clean with very minimal rust at best. You can see it has little exposure to poor weather or harsh conditions. Even the undercarriage of the truck is free from any major scale, orrosion, r rust as shown. I was even able to loosen fasteners for the rear bumper brackets with a 3/8 ratchet and wrench without any trouble. But please keep in mind thetruck is basically 25 years old at this point and it has been used so it isn't a show truck. The Syclone started life in California and then spent a couple years in Oregon. From there it came here to Texas where it has changed hands a couple times in the past 10 years. As I mentioned the truck does carry a Blue Texas "rebuilt" title. This was due to an accident in 2002 in Oregon where it stayed for a couple of years before being sold to someone in Texas where it was issued the title. The damage consisted of the right front fender cladding being damaged, ear roll pan/bumper, ailgate, nd the two rear pieces of cladding. According the the person I bought the truck from the damage was superficial cosmetic items listed above and the truck was inspected without being repaired. The claim on the truck was paid by the insurance company due to the lack of available replacement parts. I bought it without the front passenger fender cladding, amaged tailgate, nd rear roll pan that was out of alignment. I had the right front fender cladding replaced with a good used OEM unit that I sourced. I was able to adjust the roll pan and get it to look acceptable without much work. I also replaced the two license plate lamps with OEM units however this was after I took the photographs for the listing. I am including a used southern OEM tailgate. It is currently in primer and will require some repair but I refused to install aftermarket Chinese crap on the truck. The truck retains the original bed cover and looks as if the bed has had very little use with the inside of the bed showing only minor chips and scuffs. The clearcoat on the roof of the truck is peeling and will need to be refinished. The other painted exterior panels on the truck show chips and scratches somewhat consistent with the age of the truck. These areas with chips and scratches have been touched up. The worst area with chips is the front edge of the hood and front bumper which I tried to photograph from several angles so you could have a better idea of condition. There is also areas of wear in the paint where some of the pieces of cladding meet the body as photographed. However they are not rusted nor are they concealing any hidden rust. There is very little rust on the truck anywhere including the undercarriage. The tailgate has some on the lower inside edge but again a replacement is included. There is a small amount under the front edge of the hood and a couple of spots on the lower inside of the doors as photographed. The panels on the truck are straight with minimal dings or dents for the age and shows well. The cladding on these trucks as you may know is a delicate item. All of the pieces of cladding are there. The pieces attached to the pickup cab and doors are in great shape with the exception of the passenger side lower skirt having a small piece missing where the fender cladding attaches as shown in photos. It really isn't noticeable from 10 feet away. The Front bumper cover only has stone chips. The rear bumper cover is in good shape with minimal chips and has no cracks. The passenger fender in great shape. The driver fender cladding was repaired at one point and will require additional work to be perfect. The pieces on the bed immediately behind the truck cab are in good shape with no major defects. The rear wheel arches and two pieces at the rear of the truck could use repair since the tabs were at the back edge broken. The passenger side does have a split in it as shown. A full brand new set of Syclone decals are included. All of these are not a huge issue that when repaired would really make the truck a showstopper.
INTERIOR CONDITION:
The interior of the truck is original and in great shape for the age. It was well cared for and loved by all of its owners. With the exception of the past couple of days, have had it under a cover or in the garage the entire time I have owned it. The headliner is even fully intact without any sagging. The photos show that the seats appear to be discolored. THEY ARE NOT DISCOLORED and look much better in person. I tried without success to take photos depicting the actual color of them. The seats are also free from rips or any major stains. The carpet is in good shape with minimal wear and no noticeable discoloration for a 25 year old vehicle that has actually been driven. The original GM floormats are present and have some of the "nubs" missing from the back but show well for the age. The door panels arecorrect and original to the truck. They show no major fading and also have good rich colors. The dash and gauge cluster show well for the age and all gauges work. I imagine that the tint on the windows prevented most of UV damage that would haveoccurred over the years. The window tint film is in poor condition and should either be removed or replaced. The glove box is in good shape and opens, loses, nd latches. This is a very hard to find item and is easily broken. The manual and all documentation that was with the truck when sold new 25 years ago is included as shown. These again are very difficult items to find. The radio is an AC Delco CD AM/FM unit.It does work and plays CDs as well. When it's on the display will flicker with the Balance setting and volume. I don't have any idea why. I am including another Delco cassette radio of correct vintage for the truck if you choose to change it. The turn signal function lever has wear on the lettering but it works. The top of the leather on the steering wheel is dry and cracked but its an easy inexpensive fix. The center console is in good shape for the age with no abnormal wear or defects. The armrest cover is in good shape and is not separating from the lid etc. The lid opens and closes as it should without any broken hinges. The windshield has a crack in it as shown. There are places in Houston that will replace this for $80-100. The truck has power locks and windows with keyless entry and alarm. The windows try to roll up and down but seem to be stuck. I have not diagnosed this at all other than trying to open them. Most likely a simple fix and since the Syclone shares the same window motors and regulators as the Sonoma, 10, immy, lazer etc. Parts are plentiful and cheap.
MECHANICAL CONDITION:
I purchased the truck and have not really driven it more than a handful of miles since I owned it. I have spent most of the time gather parts. While it does run and drive as it is, t has done a lot of sitting. I added Stabil to the fuel that was in the tank when I purchased it knowing I would not be driving it while obtaining parts. I wanted to do it the right way and have everything I need before I started anything. It starts and runs strong with no smoke or knocks but the starter seems to be sticky from sitting. I will most likely take care of this issue before the end of the auction. When running it wants to stumble when idling and stall. It does have have the plugs, ires, ap, otor, uel filter that were on it when I purchased it. I imagine some fresh fuel and simple tune up is all it will take to get it running great again. The radiator had a leak and I had the system flushed with TSP, rained, nd installed new radiator with lifetime warranty along with a Hypertech thermostat. The heater core was bypassed and a new premium heater core is included with the sale but it will need to be installed. Included with the sale is a full set of custom made Syclone specific silicone hose kit. This covers all of the coolant lines AND the vacuum lines. These are brand new in the package with the instructions. The air conditioning was blowing cold when I purchased it but only out of the lower (floor vents) I tried to see if it would blow cold last week but it did not appear to be. I have not looked into or diagnosed this. Again, t was functioning but only at the floor and the system for air conditioning is complete and connected. The steering on the truck is loose due to worn front end parts. All brand new front end replacement parts are included with the sale but need to be installed. I am also including a custom made U joint style steering shaft that eliminates the poor design of the rag joint causing play. All new Energy Suspension bushings for the front and rear sway bars and control arms are included. Full set of 4 MaxxControl performance shocks are included. Once all of these are items are installed it will ride like a brand new truck. (see list above for all items listedindividually) When I purchased the truck the front prop shaft was shot. I had a reman unit installed with upgraded hardened allen socket head bolts installed. The transmission functions and shifts as it should. The truck when driving makes a pop/clunk noise upfront. I have narrowed it down to either the torsion bar bushing/mounts (which are less than $20 each MOOG Brand) or the chain in the transfer case making noise. These trucks share the same transfer case as Chevrolet Astro van with AWD. In a worst case scenario I have priced good used units out about $250. In some cases they could be found at a better price. So while the truck runs and drives I would not drive it home until some of these issues are addressed. All it will take is a bit of time for the new owner. Which is why I am selling since my time is a premium at the moment with moving and traveling.
WHEELS AND TIRES:
Three of the four wheels are original with matching cooper tires with nearly full tread life. The fourth wheel is not matching is has a chrome finish and the others are polished. The tire on that wheel is not matching. The original wheel had a crack that couldn't be repaired. Four center caps are included with socket head cap screws in addition there is a set of the original locking style bolts included but there is no key.
I hope I have covered everything about the truck. It will be missed and I am disappointed that I wasn't the one to bring it to it's full potential. I am open and honest and If you have any questions please feel free to ask. The truck is 25 years old and is being sold as is with no warranty written, xpressed or implied in any way whatsoever. This is a private sale with no fees or taxes. I also have the truck for sale in other venues and reserve the right to end the listing if sold locally. $250 deposit due at the end of the auction balance due within 5 days unless priorarrangementsare made.
