Description

This car is very near museum quality. Low miles and accident free. The undercarriage is as clean as the engine bay, t is 100% original down to the cassette player that still functions. The car was owned by an elderly gentlemen who originally purchased it for his daughters graduation gift but after reading an article that was concerned about the rear glass location (this was new to the 88 model) he decided if it was rear ended that she would be injured by flying glass so the car was put in his garage and used for occasional errands.
The car runs and drives like a 48k CRX should drive, o play in the wheel, ight and responsive throttle, clutch, nd brakes. The car has one blemish on the hood from a leaf tannin stain that was over zealously buffed. The car has 100% original paint that is not faded. The car was originally in Washington State and then Southern Oregon. I am the second owner and have driven the car a total of 700 miles. The car has NO rust issues as can be seen by the undercarriage photos. The CV boots are in perfect condition. The climate control is in perfect condition. The seats have no tears or rips. The only non original item on the car is the rear Si emblem, t is the 1989 oem one rather than the sticker.
The car does NOT have A/C, ou could retrofit with A/C and I have most of the parts required, hey will be included in the sale. Included are Evaporator box, A/C lines for Sanden, ashboard switch, ompressor mounting bracket, ondenser fan, nd wiring harness.
The car does not come with maintenance documentation as the owner was a transmission mechanic and performed his own oil changes. The car still has its original timing belt. The car comes with the following documentation: Original sales receipt, riginal window sticker, ervice Manual, lectrical Service Manual, wners Manual, arranty pamphlet, riginal 1988 brochure. I would have no reservations in driving this car anywhere. All lights and signals work perfectly. The exhaust system is the factory original and is in perfect working order.
The vehicle has the original black floor mats with lettering intact, ncluded is the original invoice that includes the cassette player and the floor mats, hese are the 88 floor mats (you will not find another set in this condition anywhere ever), he passenger side mat has two penny size blemishes, therwise they are in near mint condition.

I'm getting a lot of questions about what near museum quality means. The car has 48k miles it is not brand new. If you plan on putting it into a museum or using it as a trailer-ed show car it would need the following. Exterior: I would repaint the hood and front quarters to remove any blemishes from being driven 48k miles. There is a tiny scratch less than 2mm on the roof behind the sunroof, would have that touched up. Interior: The drivers seat has one seam, he upper center middle that is a little loose you can see it in the photos if you look really close. The door panels are immaculate, he dash is immaculate, he glove box is immaculate, he carpet is immaculate, he rear hatch area is immaculate, he rear well is immaculate, he cardboard spare tire cover is immaculate, he windows are immaculate, he rear hatch shocks still swing the hatch up, he seat belts still retract, he headliner is tight, he sunroof opens and closes quickly, he car is in ridiculously good condition from being garaged and little used for the past 27 years.
