IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN MY CARS, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE WHOLE LISTING!!.I HAVE TRIED TO BE COMPLETE AND HONEST IN DESCRIBING THIS CAR
IF THERE IS ANYTHING YOU FEEL I HAVE NEGLECTED OR MISSED PLEASE LET ME KNOW=================================================
1987 CRX Si, Rio Red
This car lived for many years in Arizona, and it shows! There is no structural rust on the chassis, and for someone who wants a pristine chassis/body to do ashow quality build, thisexample is easily worth taking to the next level...The car was shipped to NJ from the west coast about 8 years ago, and put in storage. Late last year we pulled it out of storage and took off all the old cracked plastic panels and treated the car to one of my best sets of undamaged plastic panels.ALL plastic panels on this car are either undamaged good originalor rebuilt to stronger than new specs!THE PLASTIC PANELS ON THIS CRX ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, and at current values of good plastic panels for these cars ($250-300/fender, $250-300 for rocker panels, $150-200 for lower door panels, and $200-300 for a perfect header panel the car has about $1500-1700 of value in just the plastic panels alone!
The car is 99% stock, but it does have just a few Hondaline accessories and aftermarket upgrades... specifically- Rear Speakercovers(very rare to find!)($100+)- Air Conditioning (has not been tested, but all the parts are there)- 4-1 header (DC Sports? not sure, no label to indicate brand)- Tokicoshocks in back- Lightspeedrear Antiroll bar
A Partial list of restoration and service work which was done on the car to bring it up to its current condition-replaced starter motor- adjusted valves- replaced fuel filter- replaced main coolant hoses and flushed radiator.-replaced rear hatch struts (new Stabilus units)- fresh Kumho 185/60-14 tires- complete trim off repaint in original Rio Red 2-stage base clearwindow seals, rain gutter trim, side moldings, many other rubber and plastic trim parts restored or replaced- Sunroof removed, cleaned, lubricated, reinstalled and tested to function smoothly and properly- and much more that I can't remember now....PLEASE REMEMBER, IF THE WINNING BID ON THE CAR DOES NOT EXCEED $4500, THEN I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP THE "phone dial" alloy wheels and deliver the car with steel wheels. In the interest of full disclosure I feel I should add something. Yesterday when washing the car I noticed a hairline crack in the windshield which wasn't there last fall. It's not near the driver line of sight. It starts just above the passenger side windshield wiper base and it runs mostly horizontal but a little bit diagonal about 6-8" long currently. It appears to be in only one layer of glass not both. I have a good used windshield that I'm willing to give to the buyer with the car. Now, if you scroll down, you will find a selection ofdetail shots of this car(VIN JHMEC1341HS030981)

Please scroll all the way down to see a few shots of other CRX's we've restored recently, and a sneak peak at a few projects which are available for someone who is interested to have one of our cars finished to their personal order....

About us - CRXpertWe are theonly shop on the east coast of the US which for the past 8 years has specialized in the correct and proper restoration of Honda CRX cars. As these cars are now at least 25, and in some cases more than 30 years old, they have passed the time of being simply 'used cars', and have entered the domain of becoming a true classic, or 'vintage collectible' car. While other tuning shops are focused on doing swaps and other customization to the 1980's-90's era CRX's and Civics, wehave decided to use our deep experience in the world of high end ($40,000-$250,000) vintage European classic restorations tofocus on doing correct and proper RESTORATION work to bring these cars back as close as possible tohow they looked when they appeared in Honda showrooms. This is no easy task, as Honda does not support their cars after they have reached this age and virtually no NOS parts are available for the CRX at this point in time. Therefore, we have gone to great lengths to search out, find, and horde as many NOS and good condition used parts for these cars as possible, and also we have developed specific techniques to restore and refurbish parts of the cars (such as the plastic body panels and rubber moldings) that are simply not available anymore. The work we do here onour Civics and CRX's is a Labor of LOVE. After spending 100's of hours bringing these cars up to the level of quality and appearance you see here, we could not possibly recoup the investment we have in time and materials, even if the cars sell at or above our asking price! If you have a 3g or 4g Civic or 1g or 2g CRX which you've been hoping to bring back to its former glory and would like the help of a shop which knows exactly what it takes to do this, feel free to contact us.Our shop rates are very reasonable,(for Honda's only)and wehave a limited amount of unbooked time for the coming winter season and would be happy to discuss a restoration project specifically tailored to your wishes.
