I previously had this car listed as "need to sell quickly." That is no longer the case. Although I am away for the summer a friend has agreed to keep the car at his place in Reading MI (South Central part of the state) until it sells.Last time I listed it I accidentally said that the mileage was 168000. It is actually 268000. Sorry! I don't know how I messed that up particularly since I enjoy the fact that this is a "high mileage" vehicle that is more reliable than many with half the miles!This car burns no oil whatsoever. It is consistently clean and at the line when I get it changed every 3000 miles.Only a few things to note:the brights are out. I bought new bulbs but have not installed them.There can be a slight hesitation -- which only happens every once in a while -- when accelerating.The timing belt is due for replacement soon. This is routine scheduled maintenance.Every once in a while it will grind for a second when going into reverse.The car has 268000 miles on it. It runs great and averages about 46 mpg in all-around driving. Some tanks have gone over 50 and I've been using premium fuel lately which has seemed to bring better mileage and smoother running.In the last 8 months or so that I've had the car it's given me 15000 completely problem free miles. *update* of course on the very last drive I made with the car before parking it - to Detroit and back to visit family before leaving for the summer - something had to break. I was merging onto I-75 when suddenly the exhaust got loud and I heard a rattle. I pulled over and found that the exhaust line had broken at the connection to something (upon reviewing some google images it looks like it was the resonator). Since I had already cleaned the car out to be ready to sell I had nothing with me but a bag of clothes and a Garmin GPS. So I used the power cable from the Garmin to secure the line in place and finished the drive to my friend's where it was to be parked. There was no time to do anything more. In the past it has only cost me $30 to have an exhaust line patched at the local mechanic's (not on this car but on my Toyota wagon) but I understand that this is an annoying inconvenience and will consider offers accordingly. Don't expect a huge discount for a relatively minor inconvenience though! :)There's obviously been some body repair and there's a little rust but the undercarriage is remarkably solid and untouched (except obviously for the connection at the resonator!)My staring price is $500 less than I paid for it less than a year ago. I don't feel bad about this loss -- this car has not cost me anything in repairs and it's saved me a lot in gas. My wife and I are doing a series of live-on-site internships where we will not be driving much and the gas savings are no longer a determining factor in which car we keep.It has nice tires with most of the tread remaining.Handles very nicely and is fun to drive. My dad owned this car before I did - he had bought it on eBay and we drove to the east coast together to pick it up. He put a lot of work into it to bring it into tip-top shape. The rear shocks were replaced the brakes were almost completely rebuilt the o2 sensor was replaced and the radiator was replaced. He took care of every single thing the car needed at that time just over a year ago.Clutch is good.Aftermarket Kenwood Stereo system and speakers installed; for some reason the front speakers seem to be disconnected but it sounds good and is all there.A/C blows cold.Oil change kit included. If you take it to a shop make sure to tell them it only takes 2.9 quarts. Oil is at the line and clean each time it's due for a change.Fantastic daily driver. It is hard to let it go though I think it is the best move right now. I've been taking care of it since I've had it and previous owners have seemed to as well.Please look at the photos and contact me only if you're serious.ThanksJimmy
