I got this car from an old man at a swap meet in Decatur in the spring. It will run and drive but the brakes were out when I got it. I rebuilt the front calipers and had started to remove the brake master cylinder to send it off to be rebuilt when I agreed to buy another car...so I need to sell this one. I have the airbox, t was removed so I could try to access the brake master. The car will start and run when choked so I assume the carburetor needs work too. The engine does not smoke or make any weird noises but the exhaust is loud. I think the muffler was rotted and removed by the previous owner but the exhaust system exits the rear of the car as it should so you do not smell exhaust fumes in the cabin.
The body is pretty straight with minimal rust. The floors are very solid, ith only a few rust pinholes (Ithink the carpet was removed years ago). There is some evidence of rust behind the rear wheel on the passenger side. The hood is not entirely straight but I see no evidence of any previous collision damage. The back window is glass, ot plexiglass as is sometimes the case.
This car is not currently registered. When I drive it around the neighborhood, put an Antique plate on it borrowed from another car.
If this vehicle requires shipping, will cooperate with your shipper. It can sit here for a while if it is paid for until you or your shipper can pick it up.
I have a lot of parts that came with the car. The seller told me they stripped parts from a few cars (coupes and sedans) that were crushed a long time ago. The buyer will have first right to purchase these parts at a great price. Parts include an extra engines in subframes, all sorts of mechanical parts, lass interior parts etc. No extra body parts worth having.
