Up for sale is my original 1991 Honda CRX Si. I bought it in January of 2015 while I was looking to replace my HF CRX which sadly was destroyed early one morning by a deer. I absolutely love this car and I know some day I'll regret selling it but I recently bought a house that needs some work so priorities come first.
This car was originally bought by a woman in PA who owned it until 1995, er son acquired it from her at that time and he owned it from 1995 until 2014. Sadly he passed away and the car was purchased from the estate sale by a local neighborhood friend/acquaintance. Shortly after purchasing it he decided to sell it in order to buy another car for his son. I happened to be looking at the right place at the right time and that's how I ended up with it. The man I bought the car from tried numerous times to get the service records from the administrators handling the estate but they never replied to the requests unfortunately. The car was always garaged and never driven in the winter. I have copies of the titles and the car has only had about 29,000 miles put on it since 1995.
The car currently has 60,482 miles on it.
Nothing has been modified on the car except for the CRX and Honda stickers were removed from the back of the car. They were gone before I bought it and before the person I bought it from. Most likely removed by the long standing owner. Honda does not make the CRX badge anymore but I tracked down a replica which is pretty much exact. I also bought a new Honda sticker. They are included but I did not put them on because the minimalist look grew on me and I figured the new owner can decided. It also doesn't have pin-striping like most which is great in my opinion, o clean looking. The original floor mats did not come with the car either. I ordered a custom set of lloyd black berber mats which fit and look fantastic in the car, think much better than OEM. I honestly don't see the great appeal in the original mats. The car is in pristine condition but it is not flawless. It does have some paint chips on the front of the hood and a couple elsewhere, few very small dings on the front fenders, mall scratch on the hood, nd a couple tiny bubbles on the sunroof. Also a few minor imperfections on the door trim. I have tried my best to capture these in the photos. The interior is nearly flawless as well. The drivers seat bolster is a bit worn, robably from bad entry and exit habits. There is a stain behind the passenger seat, actually just noticed it while taking pictures so I didn't try to remove it. There are also some light surface scratches in the cubby in front of the shifter. I've done my best to go over the car and locate all the blemishes. There is no damage from seat belts to either door jams or doors, hey are in perfect condition. The car has no rust either. The original paint is in great condition and is very shiny. I feel I should note too that nothing has been oiled up, pray painted, r made to look restored with any products, ll the black on the exterior is in original condition and looks fresh because the car has been garaged all it's life.
Since the car did not have service records I decided to get it up to date. The timing belt, ater pump, iming belt tensioner, am oil seal, rank oil seal, park plugs, lternator belt, /c belt, nd valve cover gasket were all replaced. All parts were purchased from Honda and are OEM replacements. The hatch shocks were also replaced with OEM Honda replacements too. The front brakes look like they were done recently and have almost full life left on them. The rear brakes were just done, ncluding replacing both calipers. The tires were just rotated, he fronts look like they have about 60% thread left, nd the rears maybe 40%. The battery was replaced in January. I have receipts for all the mentioned services. The car needs absolutely nothing. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.
Everything works on the car as it should including the A/C and the sunroof. It looks and feels like a brand new car. It has no shakes, himmies or anything, rives straight as an arrow and is a blast.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I must include that the car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks for looking.
I elected local pickup only but I'm willing to explore options for serious out of state buyers.
