Description

Up for sale is my 1993 Hummer H1 with a Cummins 6bt engine, 47rh automatic transmission and np241 dhd transfer case. I put 4K governor springs in which allow for excellent speed. The origin of the cummins is unknown but the oil pressure is solid as you can see in the start up youtube video link. Blow by present. The 47rh transmission has torque converter lock up and overdrive which are controlled with switches. Rear lights are controlled by a switch as well. The gauges have been replaced with McNally combo gauges for the boost/EGT, volts/water temp and oil pressure/oil temp. the fuel gauge is led. The speedometer has been replaced with a GPS model as the original is incompatible with the new transfer case. A new Holset turbo cartridge was installed less than 200 miles ago at the same time as the Steed Speed exhaust manifold. I also installed anAirDog FP‑100fuel pump which you can hear prior on the start up videos A 15 gallon fuel cell was installed as the original fuel tank did not fit with the new tranny and transfer case. A 5-gallon locked jerry can was installed for this reason to prevent a "running out of fuel" scenario. The doghouse engine cover was modified to accommodate the 6bt engine. Because of this, i doubt a full depth radio will fit in the external doghouse cover. The original wheels were replaced with Dick Cepek including the spare. The spare tire carrier is military which allows the wheel to swing out and be lowered to the ground. those wheels are heavy and your fooling yourself if you think you can schlep one around without hurting yourself. The spare tire carrier and wheel block your rear view so I installed a rear camera with the monitor on the rear view mirror - very slick. The exhaust is flexible pipe from the down pipe back.
This vehicle is loud and blows unburnt fuel until it warms up. The front driveshaft was recently installed and removed as a vibration over 40 mph was driving me crazy - can be removed/installed in 10/15 minutes. The transfer case does leak. I do have the original transmission and transfer case plus a second complete cummins 6bt engine which could be worked into the final price.

Other items new or included:

New photos of the underside have been uploaded.
The photos with the doghouse removed show the Steed Speed exhaust manifold, Lokar shifter and the torque converter lock up/overdrive switches. The oil pan leaks at a few of the bolts - I guess I didn't do a very good job with my gasket. There is also a drop of oil at the bell housing likely related to a leak at the rear seal. A few drops of transmission fluid are also seen on the transfer case and a drop on one of the tranny pan bolts. The radiator was just pressure tested with all leaks repaired. The radiator fan is electric and does a great job of cooling. The on/off temp can be fine tuned to come one at a higher or lower temp. The pushrod gasket was also replaced - not fun. In the back of the hummer between the two seats is an aftermarket heater per the Hummer forums - I do not know if it works. The only rust can be found where the back roof area meets the wheel fender - nickel sized. The other area is the back passenger light - it is on the light and not the roof so it can be removed and treated quite easily. It is currently running without a fuel plate, but I have a few to choose from.
Cheers

It shows the internal parts with the doghouse in place. This vehicle is a "work in progress" which is why I have no reserve.
I took it for a drive today and filmed a crappy movie as I accelerated on a highway onramp.https://youtu.be/EqSCgUBIhpM
The first part of the video shows the boost around 12 ( to the right of the steering wheel ). As I accelerate, 3rd gear maxes out around 35-40mph at which time I flip the overdrive switch. Overdrive will take you to around 50-55 at which time I flip the overdrive switch and then you can go as fast as you want.
It is very loud on the freeway and I always use earplugs.
I did take a short video showing the water gauge at or near operating temp with the oil pressure around 30. I lightly revved the engine and the oil pressure shoots up to 70.
There is quite a bit of blowby and the engine history is unknown. Also, there is no data plaque on the engine with areas of yellow paint revealed beneath the red indicating that it was likely industrial.

This vehicle is a "work in progress" which is why I have no reserve.
