Description

Here you have it... quite possibly the coolest and most nostalgic scout left on the planet. Just when you think every barn find has been gobbled up by the tv shows, his awesome piece of history was just 20 miles from my door where it has been hibernating for the last couple of decades.
This truck was bought new by a TRUE War Hero, rigadier General, onald(Buck) Schmuck from Buffalo, Y. Buck was somebody that should be remembered, nd even though I did not know him personally we are going to pay it forward by donating 10% of the total purchase price of the truck to a military non-profit. The winning bidder of the truck will get to choose where they would like the funds to donated. It must be donated to a legit and registered military Non-Profit Organization.

Here is the rest of story....
In 2014 this beauty was rescued and brought to auction...
I happend to be in the right place at the right time. I fought tooth and nail with a phone bidder from Canada... but nobody was going to take it away from me! I won, trailered it back home to Sheridan, yoming and I turned it into the beauty it is today. It would have been a perfect restoration candidate but the fact it was rust free and having the amazing patina it had made it hard to erase. So we lightly scuffed the paint so the clear would have some bite and last for many years. We applied 3 solid coats of clear, nside and out and did a few other things... here is what else we did.
-Stripped all of the old aged and crumbling weatherstripping from around the doors.-New valve cover gasket-New plugs and wires-Changed all oil and fluids-Sanded and prepped wheels and hubs for new paint.
Here is what still needs some attention...-New weatherstripping around the doors-2nd gear occasionally slips out of gear, ost likely a synchro-Needs a new sending unit for the gas tank...
This truck runs and drives great. Buy it and drive it or put it in your collection. It is still running the original 4 cylinder power house that came with it from the factory, o if you are looking for something to pull your snowmobiles with this probably isn't the truck for you. But if your looking for an iconic piece of history and a conversation piece or a truck you can take the top off, ay the windshield down and cruise on a hot Sunday afternoon... THIS IS YOUR TRUCK!
Here is how this is going to work...
First, his is a NO RESERVE auction, o the high bidder is going to take this truck home. If you would like to inspect and test drive, t must be done prior to the auction ending. I am happy to take it to a mechanic of your choice within the Sheridan area if you want to have a pre purchase inspection done at your expense.
Once again, believe that Mr. Schmuck being the war hero he was deserves something too... So I am going to donate 10% of the final auction value to a NON-PROFIT organization of the purchasers choice, ut must go to a military NON PROFIT.
I HOPE THE NEW OWNER OF THIS TRUCK ENJOYS IT AS MUCH AS I HAVE... SO BE HAPPY AND BID ON! HERE'S TO THE "SCHMUCK TRUCK"!!
***I do have a video of the truck running and driving and will be uploading a link for you all to view. And I also have 50+ pics that will be viewable soon.
