1977 International Harvester Scout II. 4x4 Automatic, 04 V8. All running gear is original, uns and drives great, x4 system works fine, ransfer case works fine, ransmission shifts fine. Engine is 304 V8 with some modifications for better performance and reliability, uch as a Petronix Ignitor electronic points replacement. An Aluminum radiator was added to keep the engine cooler during driving and give long life to the vehicle. The front wheels engage during4-wheeling and pull this truck through the mud with no problem. Automatic is the 727 Torque-Flight. Rear end is solid axle Dana and does not make any noise. Engine fires right up too!
There is very little rust on this Scout II. The external body has been coated by Line-X to protect the sheet metal from corrosion and scratches from off-roading. Wheel arches are pretty solid! The interior sections have been coated in black for the same reasons. The seats are captains chairs. The passenger side is in very good condition, hile the drivers side has only a small hole and a little discoloration, isible in the pictures. Scout has many original parts included, uch as the radio, xtra arm rests, ail light lenses, oor plumb switches, oolant tubes and hoses, cout and IH badges, ome electrical goodies, ven the original cigarette lighter. There is a Roll bar installed for your safety. The metal top is in pretty good shape and only needs small spot rust repair and a minor ding that can easily be worked out. All the glass is in good shape. Custom from bash guard and Hella lights are very bright. Newer rims and tires installed. All the lights work too. Vehicle has passed Texas DOT Inspection and is road legal. Does not pull during braking. Power steering and power brakes. Dash panel cover has some surface rust, ut nothing major.
