Description

Up for sale is my 1958 International Harvester A120 rock-crawling farm truck. It is a 3/4 ton, factory four-wheel drive truck with upgraded axles, wheels, tires and electrical (switched from 6 volt generator to 12 volt alternator setup). Worked through with my mechanic all of the high level mechanical and electrical. There are various niggles and To Do type things left but the truck has a bonded Texas title and a fresh registration/inspection.

The running gear has been beefed up with heavy duty axles, steel wheels (no crazy split rims), and big ol' Goodyear Wrangler R/T II tires. It won't set any speed records but you'd be hard-pressed to get it stuck.

The engine and transmission are original pieces and aren't engineered to run 75 mph down modern interstate highways. This is a legit farm truck that can get you to town and back when you need it. The rest of the time, it likes to take things a bit slower. We drive it around Fort Worth a fair amount and it never fails to catch people's attention. And it's just a lot of fun to drive around.

We welded in a 2" Hidden Hitch receiver into the frame. We also have a drip rail roof rack system and some custom bike mount side plates tack welded to the bed rails. If that's not your cup of tea, an angle grinder can easily take those off.

If you want a unique truck with a great look and honest mechanicals, this old girl is for you! If you want a resto-mod classic truck with disk brakes, automatic transmission and fuel injection, you'll need to keep looking.
