Description
1929 International Harvester truck with flat bed/ steak bed. Single tire rear axles with new rubber on the rear tires. front tires have weather checking. but all hold air VERY well. I don't see any visible rust anywhere. Leather roof is believed to be ORIGINAL. with grained leather that is in AWESOME condition. Roof has original skinny slats that do not appear to have any rot to them at all. Doors and balance of woodwork on the interior is believed to also be all ORIGINAL. I believe the removable floor boards are the only items in the cab that are not original. Steering wheel is in amazing condition also. 4 cyclinder. Truck has been equipped with a small 2Q gas tank mounted under the hood to fill for just warming the truck up or cruising around the yard. Allowing for keeping fresher fuel to the truck when not being driven. The fuel tank is a special ordered aircraft quality aluminum tank that has replaced the original tank (at the same size. that I don't think has ever had fuel in it). I used the 2q tank while I had it. I do have the original tank to go with the truck. I have title and it is clear. The truck runs AWESOME. It typically starts in less than 5 minutes if it hasn't been run for say 3-6 months. BUT once you have had it warmed up. it starts immediately for the next 2-3 months. I have driven it around the neighborhood and my small farm the last couple years . and honestly the ONLY issue. (was I forgot to re-fill the 2q tank one time and had to walk back for gas). Radiator may drip a few drips after its been running for a good 15 minutes to an hour. but does not leak when sitting. The logos on the truck were added by the gentleman I got the truck from. and with some artistic patina to the Texaco logo. and the IHC logos are in great shape. All glass is 100% with No cracks. Door slides work perfectly. Both doors latch. both windows crank up and down. I think most of the glass is original. as it has some of old glass wave to it. Front windshield is 2 piece. Truck was hauled backwards everytime I moved to to insure the absolute minimal force to the cab (and I made anyone who hauled it for me drive UNDER 40mph). I can provide any and all photos that anyone would like to see. I have several old tires from the era. Oil jars. Milk bottles or even a lubster or two I can throw in if someone wants some vintage material to go with the truck. I have professional appraisal done on the truck at $13. 00 giving detail as to many specs I am willing to share with interested buyers.
