1968 Mercury Cyclone GT 427 Nostalgia Drag Racer. Started life as a factory 390 GT 4 speed car. Restored rust free Arizona car in Hugger Orange livery. Converted to Nostalgia Drag Racer in 1990's. Originally built with a 428 Cobra Jet motor but switched to a real 427 FE Side Oiler 600+HP. Dove aluminum heads. Special lightweight C-4 drag racing transmission w/4500 stall converter. 9" Ford Strange hi-nickel 3rd member and Strange 4. 33 gears w/spool. Mark Williams drive line bog tube. Cal-Tracks rear suspension. Four wheel disc brakes. New M/T. ET drag slicks / 30x9. 0x15 on lightweight Monocoque aluminum wheels. Complete Auto Meter gauge dash and Pro-comp-2 playback tach. MSD 7 AL-2. line lock. shift light. Recaro hi-back seats w / full safety gear/ Simpson seat belts. Le Carrera leather wrapped steering wheel. accusump oil accumulater. fire extinguisher. roll cage with padding. only 4 passes on current 427 and drive train. best time at Firebird Raceway 10. 3 @ 137 mph.
